In this thread, I'll keep you updated on what updates have been installed at T-MobileSignal.

1. Report a PM. This allows users to report a private message that they find offensive.

2. Contact Us Captcha. This prevents spammers from utilizing the Contact Us form as a way to spam the admin.

3. Advanced Thread Preview. This allows users to preview a thread without actually clicking on it. Just move your mouse over the title of the thread and you get a preview of the thread.

4. User Rank by Posts. This is another ranking system that ranks users by the number of posts they have. Thus, if you are ranked #10, there are 9 people on the forum that have posted more than you.

5. Postbit info. We've included more information from your profile in the Postbit.

6. Interactive Profiles. This expands your profile to appear more like a Myspace profile.

Wow, this is pretty cool. I have to admit blending a forum with social networking highlights, and not making this a myspace, definitely makes this site more interactive. Great ideas, keep up the awesome work, Mr.Admin! :D

Just a suggestion:
Show the "User Phone" and "Years with T-mobile" in each post instead of Zodiac Sign and Join Date. Although I like the info for each user in each post, I think that the info on the phone, and years with T-mobile is more relevant.

Just a suggestion:
Show the "User Phone" and "Years with T-mobile" in each post instead of Zodiac Sign and Join Date. Although I like the info for each user in each post, I think that the info on the phone, and years with T-mobile is more relevant.

Or if you could add it to whats already there, I think that would work as well. It would make that info not only relevant, but still have that extra info to get us all to know each other just that much more...my 2¢

New Changes:

- A submit to Digg, Delicious, Technorati, and Furl have been added to each post now.
- Breadcrumb trail below the last post was added to lessen scrolling.
- Now you can pick your phone as your avatar (More to phone avatars to come).
- Moods mod was added to allow users to set their own moods
- A ton of smilies were added
- Spell checker was added to posting box
- Rating users was added to each post
- Forum Rules was added
- Post preview was added
- Referrals were added to postbit info along with other fields
- Report PM option added to allow users to report spam or offensive pms
-ImageShack mod added to allow users to upload images to ImageShack

I'm sure I missed some changes the programmer added but I'm happy with where the forum is now.

I agree. Take out "Zodiac Sign" and "Rating", and put in "Phone" and "T-Mobile Customer" (which displays the years you've been with T-Mobile). I think it would be better reorganized like this:

Join Date: Jun 2007
Location: Orange County
T-Mobile Customer: 5 Years (choices are: Not Yet, <1 Year, 1 Year, 2 Years, 3 Years...)
Cell Phone: Motorola RAZR V3 (leave this field blank so users can type in what they use... there's too many cell phones to list and more come out every quarter)
Posts: 300
Referrals: 9
Rep Power: 1

In fact, if you wanted to you can take the CELL PHONE field out and make it a separate column with room to put 5 cell phones if you wanted to (like another forum I know of). That would allow users to list all of the cell phones they use (if they switch between cell phones)... like this:
