Razr2 v8 Release date on T-mobile discussion

Can anyone confirm the release date for razr2 v8 for T-mobile?

it seems we all thought the samsung blast was coming out August 1st, guess that rumor was wrong, who feels confident enough to post a release date for t-mobile

It will be droping with AT&T.
But im sure you could get it unlocked.
And i think next week it will drop..

You are wrong. T-Mobile will be getting the V8 since it has EDGE in October, while AT&T will be getting the V9 since it has 3G.

I acctuly had the same question as the poster of this thread and so i called up my friend who works as a customer support for t-mobile and you are right..:eek: lol.
The V8 will be coming out for t-mo but He also said it will be droping in either late Aug or early Sept.

I think it will be in two colors dark black and a blue color i think, i know it will be the 2G version with no expandable memory cards

According to phonescoop.com, the V8 has Opera as the browser. I wonder if T-Mobile will disable that. I can't justify paying $29.99 just to surf the web on a regular cell phone.

it has the opera browser in it, dont know if they have another browser that works with mobile linux.

I am looking forward to the V8. I really wanted before I heard that 3G was so close. Now I have to wait to see if T-Mo picks up a version of the V9 using T-Mo 3G bands. I'd love to surf 3G like I used to with my old CingulATT air card.

I mean there are tons of them on EBAY that are unlocked for $500 or more.. But I need the MYFAVES software so, when I saw the one on there with the software I wanted it.. But my boyfriend was like no, you are getting it from and actual T-Mobile store.. I will not buy a phone for that price from an auction site.. SO NATURALLY I GOT MAD AND WAS LIKE IF I DONT GET THAT PHONE I WILL NEVER SPEAK TO YOU AGAIN! I know I know I am spoiled..

I talked to a Rep at the T-Mobile Store in Hampton, Va and she was the manager and she told me that the LOW-END stores would not be getting the phone only the HIGH-END stores like LA, NYC, Washington DC, etc... So I called the store in Washington DC since its like 3-4 hour drive from where I live.. And the woman there told me that they said the release date in the computer was 4th Quarter of 2007 which would be October time...So, I hope that you are right cause I want this phone so bad... I have been like being a b!tch about it... Cause I want this phone more than anything right now..

The release is still expected on October 8th, the RAZR2's will be on allocation to top selling stores and markets, but will be available in all stores within that week. Kind of similar to the Nokia 8801 launch at first, but will fan out to all stores quick enough. Will update you on any new info!

Oh I will be first in line to get this phone.. I want it so bad.. But I don't know what colors of the phones T-Mobile is going to get... I want the red one but I have a feeling that aren't getting that color.. :( If I have to settle for the blue one I will but I don't really want a dark grey or black but if that is the only colors they are getting I will get it.. Well as I have said in a previous post that I talked with a rep from a store about 3-4 hours away from my town I live in and the woman I spoke with said that their computers say 4th quarter of 2007 which would make it October..

Release dates are often subject to change...or reps could be misinformed. Also, T-mobile has been secretive about this, so maybe they are doing something to throw us off. Anyways, thanks for the info semaj. I have verified 3 times the release date that I posed already...but if more information comes in suggestion I am wrong or the release date was changed to the one you suggested, then I'll make sure I add that and give you credit. Keep the great info coming guys!

There was only 2 and the guy that had them for sale sold them.. I WAS PISSED! Cause I wanted one.. Good Luck on finding one with MYFAVES on it that isnt unlocked...

I called T-mobile today and 10/15/07 is the launch date. I asked them why they were the last ones to launch the razr2, and they said they get offers to launch first, but do not because they let the othe rcarriers be the so called guinea pigs, meaning they like the other carriers to test the phones, glitches, problems, etc, so by the time they launch theres, everything will be fixed supposedly, makes sense, i have heard the original razr by t-mobile was the best one out of all the cariers when originally launched
