I and some of the mods have been thinking it's probably time we come up with some posting rules, to help keep the site the friendly and helpful site that's it's so far been. I will start by throwing out the rules they have over at Sprintusers.com, one of the best user groups sites out there-
Sprint Users - Guidelines (http://www.sprintusers.com/guidelines/)
Please look them over, and let me know what you think. Let us know how you think we should set this up, so that it keeps the forums friendly, fun and helpful, but not so restrictive and tight that no one wants to come in. We need to strike a balance, help us get it right, thanks!
I would also encourage users to look at What Mobile's Forum Rules (http://www.whatmobile.net/forumrules.php)

What Mobile magazine - Forum Rules (http://www.whatmobile.net/forumrules.php) sounds great actually, and so does the sprint users, but i like the first one better because the sprint users one makes u sound like ur signing ur life away to a contract lol no offense... if there was a paid service provided then id use the sprint users one, thats just my opinion though.. either way whatever rules are used, id not abuse them, like i seen on some forums, example: a user posts something and boom gets banned no warning at all, we are all entitled to make mistakes ya know. id do a MOD EDIT: with explanation, then give a warning or just explain to the person to read da rules ya know... unless you know 100% for sure that the person did it intentionally... ya gotta be leanent on the noobs a bit, thats why they r noobs ya know lol... but back on topic lol i get side tracked sometimes... i like the idea of a good set of guidelines/rules would be kool, and when this site gets really big they`d be needed ya know...
Our rules at SprintUsers are a bit formal, but with over 120,000 members, they almost need to be. Either way, it is all a good start.

I think if a trading place is added, there should be a block for people that haven't made, say 15 posts. That way you know thet might stay around and not just use the site for selling stuff. I think thats how motox is doing it.
