View Full Version : PREPAID USERS... voicemail charges.. please check

We have several prepaid lines.

The way it's supposed to be from what I hear from their CS and other people:

People leaving voicemail = no charge
checking minutes from your phone = airtime incurred

The line I've had since 2007 works this way, but the lines I've opened during the $10/mo x 3 promotion has been charging me minutes for incoming voicemail even when the phone is off. CSR denied it and claimed usage was valid, however once I told him how much balance I had, then I had him leave a test message, and he confirmed my phone was off the whole time and his message took a minute off from my account.

He contacted someone else to open a ticket to resolve this issue.

On another forum, someone else said this happened to him and they've taken the same approach without any fix.

So.. if you have PREPAID,
1.)do you mind checking your balance now.
2.) turn off the phone and leave yourself a VM
3.) check your balance again and see if there is a difference?

When you call, even with a PIN, they'll weasel out of the matter by saying "call records are confidential" but "our records" show "the charges are valid".

I think someone needs to start a class action lawsuit on them.
