In reading the last 2 paragraphs (page 2) of this story, it appears even prepaid phones are vulnerable to tracking. Any thoughts on how? (Besides the obvious inept criminals who pay for prepaid phones with their credit card or checking account in their own name...).

And no... I'm not a criminal, I just watch lots of them on TV, LOL.

via, 911/e911, or triangulation via towers, via built-in gps chips, via rf signals emmited from the fone, via the net/web/gprs... etc, via bluetooth signal, theres several different ways to track a person, it all depends on how much technology is at ur disposal really. im like you i like watching some sattelite channels. a kool show is on discovery channel called spytek, but that deals with cold war era tech. discovery times mil chan has a kool series about this type of stuff.

I guess what I'm really asking is if you're using a prepaid cell, how would "they" know "they" were tracking "the real you" LOL. Hope that made sense...
