Gosh I wish I had bought a lot of shares of Google when it was $80.00. Right now it's at $545.01 a share. :eek:

i remember when GOOG was $24/share... then they had that stock split a year or two later, and my dreams of owning a share of GOOG got shattered

I might be wrong but I am pretty sure Google was never $24/share. It just only recently went public and opened up fairly high.

Where do these companies get all this money to spend millions and billions just to buy other companies. I wonder if they give the give their workers a raise since they spending so much money to acquire these companies.

i remember it opened in the $20s, then spiked up during the first month. then later a stock split increased the value even more
