All the plans listed above are the most basic plan the each company offers. T-mobile has MyFaves, Cingular has rollover, Sprint has early nights, etc...To learn more about each companies plans, ask in the thread, or visit their sites:

TMobile's plans are the best. I am not a tmobile subscriber but after seeing this, I might just change that.

Trust me it is. There customer service is great and I've never had a problem with them at all. Coverage is just as good or even better than at&t.

Hey Nwahs, you might want to include T-mo's PROMO plans in your charts too:
INDIVIDUAL PLANS
GET MORE 1000 PLUS PROMOTIONAL: 1000 Anytime Minutes + Unlimited N&W = $39.99/mo
GET MORE 1500: 1500 Anytime Minutes = $39.99/mo
FAMILY PLANS
MYFAVES FOR FAMILIES 1000: 1000 Shared Anytime Minute + Unlimited MyFaves = $59.99/mo

Updated. Thanks for the info chokaay.
I didn't do the MyFaves one because adding MyFaves in there is difficult. I put a note on the bottom though.

I hear ya. You can also add that USUALLY MyFaves plans are around $10 more than similar non-MyFaves plans, and substitute Unlimited M2M with Unlimited MyFaves (if available on the similar non-MyFaves plan). For example:
FamilyTime 1000 Family Plan = 1000 Min + Unlimited M2M + Unlimited N&W = $69.99/mo.
MyFaves For Families 1000 Plus Plan = 1000 Min + Unlimited MyFaves + Unlimited N&W = $79.99/mo.

Also, you might want to note the following features that are available in some competitor's plans (just so the chart can be as accurate as possible):
R = Rollover (for applicable AT&T/Cingular plans)
EN = Early Nights (for carriers whose nights start EARLIER than 9pm without any additional fee)
M = Unlimited M2M (for carriers who offers Unlimited M2M on their plans without any additional fee)
And also, I think AT&T/Cingular's $39.99 individual plan has 5000 Night/Weekend minutes...

T-Mobile haves better rate

don't forget
Business National Plan 600 has 600 anytime, unlimited weekends, unlimited m2m (best value), 500 SMS for $39.99
since it's not promo, no contract extension required
on data part, T-Mobile has good value, the short side is T-Mobile does not have 3G, but T3 has

If you want to make a table, greenblood, comparing Data plans or Business plans, go for it. I don't have enough time to that that. I would add it to the OP if someone made tables like that though.

Thanks a lot! I updated the list and added a note section to include what ya told me. And the 500 Night/Weekend minutes thing was a typo...I fixed that.

More T-mobile (or ex-tmobile) employees! Glad your here.
I would feel bad selling a phone and service to someone knowing that they could pay less at a different company, and probably get better customer service. Thats why it is T-mobile all the way!

Nice comparison chart Shawn. Two things to add though. Both Sprint and Verizon offer a plan that is under their $39.99 price plans that are isn't listed on their website.
Verizon: $34.99 individual plan with 300 anytime minutes, and Unlim. N&W.
Sprint: $29.99 basic plan with 200 anytime minutes, and Unlim. N&W.

Hmmmmm... if we're going to get into plans that AREN'T listed on carriers' websites, then we would have to add a lot of plans, like retention plans, SERO plans, etc. Sounds like a lot of work... :(

I think users can look at the charts to see the basic ones. If they scroll down they can see the cheaper Verizon ones. Or the Sprint Sero plans. They can look at the T-mobile MyFaves plans too. There is also the kid-connect plan on T-mobile, and I'm sure other carriers have it too. If someone needs more options...they can ask here and we'll supply them with them, but I'm making those by taking screen shots of a table and then turning into a picture...haha I can't fit a table and larger then that into my screen!
If you want to know more about any of the plans (even other then T-mobile) ask here and the users will help ya out. The plans listed are only basic.

Wow...T-Mobile truly does have better rate plans.
In most cases, that is true, but I am an exception. I have two T-Mobile ToGo phones. Each one has a specific purpose. One is a replacement for my former land line. The other is a glove box phone in one of my cars.
My main phone is a Cingular/AT&T (Blue) post paid plan. It is old and out of contract and no carrier can come close to giving me the deal that I have. Hence, I will stay with that plan as long as they allow me to. I have considered my options so that I have a contingency plan, in the event that AT&T would ever kick me off of my old plan. However, this is where I am an exception to the rule that T-Mobile is always the cheapest. In my case, it would be the most expensive. I have three phones on a family plan. Their 1000 minute family plan, with 9p.m. nights, is simply not enough for me. There would be months when I would go over 1000 minutes. That means that with T-Mobile, I would have to use their 2000 plan and it would cost me $110/month. (Their Fave thing would not help me, as not enough of my calls are to the same numbers). Each of the other major carriers could give me three lines and 1400 minutes/month for $100. 1400 minutes would be enough for me. That is just $10/month difference, which doesn't sound like much, but it with tax, it actually about $12/month, which is $144/year. When I look at it that way, it is a significant difference. So, I am sorry to say, I cannot consider T-Mobile for a post-paid plan. They have excellent customer service and their coverage here in Minnesota is also excellent, so it is unfortunate that they do not offer something between their 1000 and 2000 minute family plans. I have emailed T-Mobile and pointed this out.

Yes you are right Robert, many of us wish TMobile had an "in between" plan. I'm glad we have a plan that works for us. I have told my husband countless times what a great deal we are getting and after showing him this post (and what we "could" be paying elsewhere), he certainly agrees!

Wow! T-Mobile is a much better deal!:)
I have always noticed that T-mobile seems to have an edge on pricing. It all depends on where you are though whether or not it is worth it.

im glad i switched to tmobile, even though im on prepay. i have absolutly no complaints about cs either. i never had a dropped call yet. if i ever have a prob it gets fixed rather quickly. im using a razr v3 for talk, and soon gonna activate my used sk3 for the web, email,im, etc...btw how hard is it to get a job at tmo cs? i wouldnt mind doing that in my free time..i would only want a part time job though, seeing that my schedule is usually pretty full..

That biz 600 comes out price wise equivalent to what I have with AT&T but the glaring difference is more minutes with T-mobile. Not that I would care though; I come at it from the opposite end of the usage spectrum as the good Doc. This is my postpaid that is prepaid you see. Running on a topped-off and converted credit balance from the phenomenal Free2Go TDMA deal. Unless I get kicked off, I am there until I spend it.
AT&T plan "Not Offered": Nation 200 with 1K NW, $30. My adder Media Basic with 400 messages and a megabyte of internet for another $10 to get to $40 before adding taxes and junk fees and taking off FAN discount.
Back to the low-end considerations... There is just about nothing available in postpaid that is fitting. It is a strech for me to use even the 200, and if I push it another 200 worth of N&W. Prepaid is clearly in order for this pattern but dangit I like to do a little texting without getting charged out the wazoo.

I was speaking to someone today with the Sprextel EVDO data plan.
they indicated that they pay like $40 for the first line, and an additional $10 for the 2nd line, and both lines have access to the data plan.
Not sure if it is true, But It would be great if T-mo could do something similar.
either now or whenever they roll out 3G.
