I just saw this over at the unnamed. The pic was taken by: Walt-TmobileRep: HowardForums: Your Mobile Phone Community & Resource - NEW! Samsung Blast and Unlimited Text for 9.99$ (http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?p=9486019#post9486019)

I think this isn't coming out til August or Sept, since they put "Send them back in style".

That's pretty sweet looking. I would want that to replace my RIZR, I have a feeling that I'm gonna have to replace it again at some point because i saw another glitch acting up for a quick second.

But I'm getting a k790, so there really isn't a need for me to get this phone. Though it is nice. Be better in black though.

Great looking phone. I really don't want to get another Samsung, but that does look great. I wonder if it types as well as Suretype does on the Pearl. Hmmm... $9.99 unlimited messaging sounds easier to sell than 400 for $4.99.

Wow! I wonder if the other price points for messaging add-ons will be reduced as well! (Especially since there's a 1000 message add-on for $9.99 as well too... and if that gets reduced, lets hope the 400 message add-on for $4.99 gets reduced as well too!) I'm hoping (but not really expecting) that the 1000 message add-on goes to $5.99, and the 400 message add-on goes to $2.99... :p

And now if T-mo could also do something about those data add-on prices, that would be GREAT! :D

ick SureType. *shudder*

Luckily I am grandfathered into the $9.99 unlimited messaging already. :D

There is something coming for 9.99 and it really confused me because it sounded specific like it was a myfaves text package for 9.99. I don't know if its specific for people on myfaves plan and an incentive to change as you would receive a lower priced option for unlimited text or just unlimited texting to your myfaves 5. I don't know and I tried to find more info yesterday because we got the same marketing info in our store yesterday but I couldn't figure out this whole messaging thing. Now I'm definitely gonna have to do some more digging!

3G? MP count.

I'll have these stats for you tomorrow, I'm going to photocopy the spec sheets that came in today and post them tomorrow evening at some point.

Cool. Thanks. I want a reason to use my upgrade. I have been out of contract since January 2006. My last T-Mobile branded phone was the Samsung E715. Since August 2005, I have been using the Samsung E730, which is like the successor to the E715.

I personally wish T-Mobile will bring back $19.99 Internet (this'll be deadly weapon with 3G service!)
-----and------
add unlimited Internet and Messaging (no Starbucks Hotspot, please) for $29.99

Those would be REALLY KILLER ADD-ONS as far as data is concerned! T-mo messaging rates are REALLY GOOD right now in comparison to other carriers, but DATA is lagging (even though it's still pretty "good" prices for what you get).

i just saw an update through t-mobile news.

there is a 9.99 text messaging rate plan for my faves customers as a "back to school" special.

im 95% sure that it is only for myfaves customers only.

one of the reasons i went with t-mo was because they offered me the most inexpensive price for unlimited data... only an extra $19.99/mo on top of my regular voice service

The part about it being for myFaves only really sucks :(

I guess it's good since I already have the MyFaves plan, but do you think they will be changing this price, because I already have the Unlimited Messaging plan. Or do you think i'd have to re-sign up

Once T-mo starts this promo (IF they start this promo), you can switch your Unlimited Messaging Add-on to the cheaper one. I've never heard of any ADD-ON being restricted to new customers only, or requiring contract extensions.

Just for clarification this plan only entitles you to unlimited messaging between your myfaves contacts, NOT unlimited messaging to everyone. This was on a conference call this morning which discussed the openness with which they had been unleashed and the clarifying fact is that with the launch of myfaves 1.5 this is unlimited messaging just to your myfaves, not everyone.

Well, that bites.

I was hoping to get my mom on the 1000 sms plan for cheaper than $9.99.

Damn. Guess I'll have 1000 text for a few months and the pay the extra for unlimited (after I drop H@H).

WTF... do they actually think people will pay $10 for THAT?!? This is WORSE than AT&T's $5 Unlimited M2M Messaging Plan!!!

:(

I will not be hoping on this plan. I don't know if T-Mobile will fix their issue the $4.99 messaging, since it shows 400 text and 400 picture messages bring it to a total of 800 messages, instead of a total of 400 messages.

THAT is much better! Too bad it's only for MyFaves customers though... :(

Bah! That damn MyFaves. Is it going to get to a point where all special rates/discounts are for people with MyFaves only? I have no use for a MyFaves plan and I don't really like the idea of being "forced" onto a MyFaves plan just to get discounts.

Yah the $10 unlimited to MyFaves only sounded pretty fishy to me. I didn't think TMo was THAT greedy and dumb LOL

This definitely sounds like a ploy to entice people to sign up for MyFaves. IMO, that's fine to provide incentives for people to join MyFaves, but I would prefer it to be something that doesn't make the non-MyFaves customers feel left out or less "valued" (like if they offered free or discounted Unlimited M2M on MyFave Family Plans or something).

I guess with this $9.99 Unlimited Messaging Promo, that narrows the price gap between comparable individual MyFaves vs. Non-MyFaves plans to $5 (assuming Unlimited Messaging would be added in both cases).

I'd rather pay the $5 and use my 1000 minutes as I please.

christyxcore
07-10-2007, 11:01 PM
I really would not want to have to get a myFaves plan to just get $5 off my messaging plan.

So...all the future good discounts will be going toward myFaves I'm guessing? If so, that's pretty gay

I'd rather pay the $5 and use my 1000 minutes as I please.

Let's see: T-Mobile offers a great Promo(1000min) then immediately alienates everyone on it by offering future deals only to "special" MyFaves plan holders. :( I agree with dephl.

Yeah, that's pretty stupid. But since I have the MyFaves, I guess I am lucky XD
