FCC Approves First 3G phone for T-Mobile (Phone Scoop) (http://www.phonescoop.com/news/item.php?n=2275)

The FCC today has re-approved the Samsung T639. The model was originally approved as a quad-band GSM phone, however that approval was revoked and now the phone has been re-approved with WCDMA 1700 support. Support for this band as well as the model both indicate the phone is destined for T-Mobile. The T639 appears to be a clamshell phone with quad-band GSM/EDGE and Bluetooth in addition to 3G. No additional details are available in the documents approved today. Neither T-Mobile nor Samsung have announced this phone yet.

Even if its a Samsung, T-Mobile might pull what they did with the Nokia 3220 since it had EDGE, they put it on there, since NYC had EDGE.
