Hi all. I am newbie to CPS.

I am a big fan of the open dev environment of Android, and want to support its growth.

One thing I am doing is forming a group of G1 users willing to test new apps and provide feedback to developers.

So, I need testers. Care to help?

I have a blog on the subject... http://griff-new.blogspot.com

You can email me your contact info to join the group: griff.blog@gmail.com

Thanks for any interest.

Griff, I would recommend you make yourself more a part of this community and then offer something like this up. Get to know people and be active. One post and your gone probably won't help your cause at all.

Thanks for the welcome, and suggestion to spend some time.

I will. As you could imagine, I have been checking out a lot of forums looking for the elusive early adopter of the promising Android-based phone.

I hope I can get to know some of the CPS contributors... and build a grass roots group which shares a passion for the open development approach that Android represents.

Welcome to CellPhoneSignal Griff! I hope to see a future Android enthusiast group form within CPS. Have you done some research on the HTC Magic and Hero too? What do you think about the 1.5 update vs 2.0? Do you think Samung can implement Android as well as HTC has?

Thanks for the welcome note cwilliams706. Yes, we have done much research. I note many large manufacturers announcing their plans for android-based releases... moto, sony, even dell. I think each has the ability to deliver like HTC or better. There is a clear advantage to the open OS approach... for future proofing.

I have had some success forming this group of willing testers of new apps. I think developers recognize the value of a large base of ready testers and the benefits of peer review.

Any suggestions on building this conversation... which might lead to formative feedback and participation?

Cheers and thanks again,
Griff
