I thought it would have launhed with the Android Donut OS, but I'm sure it will do just as fine with 1.5 instead. Will it be upgradable to 2.0 once it releases?
I would imagine it would be upgradeable....it sure should be.

HTC has stated that neither the HTC Dream not the HTC Magic will receive an official update to Android 2.0.

Regarding HTC Phones, I'm looking into loading a location based application on my phone. Does anyone out there have any experiences with any LBS apps on this phone?
Let me know. Thanks.

T-Mobile USA has contracted a company to develop a LBS application just for this phone, which is supposed to be very good according to T-Mobile USA and the application developer.
I read today that there will be 2 more updates for the G1 this year.

Thanks to those who responed to my query. I've tried "lattitude" and it's not that accurate. One other one I"m trying now is Cellflare and it seems to be pretty good so far.
Does anyone else have experience with this application. Let me know what you think about it. Thanks again.
