Lauren Weinstein's Blog: How To Tell If Your Cell Phone Is Bugged (http://lauren.vortex.com/archive/000202.html)

this was interesting about cellfone buggings, made sense. lol makes me wonder about using a used fone for sure now lol. j/k i havent experienced any of the symptoms except for the rapid battery drain, but thats due to heavy bluetooth usage, and the ammount of time i talk etc... im not trying to spread paranoia or blame etc, i just thought that this article was interesting thats all.

That was interesting - thanks for sharing! I've seen the article about remotely activated microphone tapping before, but never any practical ideas for how to tell it was happening. Just advice to "remove your battery" when you're not talking, something that's really not practical for most people most of the time.

i've read quite a bit about this over the past nine years... it is something that has very well possible within our realm of technology since the early-to-mid 90s when PCS arrived. like CSI_Nut said, removing the battery is the only way...

after reading that i broke out the aluminum foil for my head and fone...i seem to be ok now...lol j/k but seriously ive read about bugging where just having a speaker with no power is all that is needed. hell they can bug u with a laser beam on ur window with a prism. but since that became public i bet they found a way to do it without the prism. do a google for keith melvin i think his name is, he runs the spy museum and is always on the history chan or the discovery mil chan. he hosted a series called spy tek which was pretty kool. lol it made me wanna buy the cd soundtrak and find all of the hidden stuff in it.
