I'm looking into purchasing either the Pantech Duo C810 or the Pantech Matrix Pro C820 (and moving to AT&T to get either one). I THOUGHT I wanted the T-Mobile Wing but these phones appeal to me a lot more.

Similarities:

QWERTY keyboard setup like the T-Mobile SideKick 3 I'm currently using and have the screen that covers the keyboard. I also like the dual sliding keyboards on both phones.

Windows Mobile (I'm a seasoned WM user having owned several HP iPAQ 6315's and other non-phone WM devices).

Differences:

The C820 features WM 6.1 and is slightly shorter than the C810. This could be good for me because I am non ambulatory and don't have a lot of places I can put a large phone.

The C810 features WM 6.0 and looks slightly longer than the C820 which will probably work for me since I text a lot.

Questions: Are either upgradable to 6.5 and possibly 7.0?

Do they feature built in clients of AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Google Talk, ICQ, FaceBook and MySpace Messengers? If not, I know where to go to get a program that supports these.

What are the real-life battery life and memory on the phones? I need a phone that won't crap out after 8 hours of usage.

Welcome to CellPhoneSignal!

The Matrix Pro is PROBABLY able to be flashed to Windows Mobile 6.5, I'm not sure about 7. They both contain all of the instant messaging clients, but the social network clients are exclusive to Windows Mobile 6.5/7 as of now. Memory for both should be 128 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM if I'm not mistaken. In reference to the 8 hour minimum usage time, are you referring to the talk time or standby time?
