T Mobile Dash- Mini Sd Card & storage Space

I just purchased an Mini SD card for my phone because it was short on storage but my phone is still showing no extra storage. do i have to do anything specific to my phone in order to get the space?

I assume you mean MicroSD, since that's what the Dash takes. Maximum capacity the Dash can handle (unless you flash it with a Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM from XDA-Developers) is 2GB.

Run the Task Manager, then press Menu and 6 (System Info). Scroll down until you see Flash Information, and you'll see your card's capacity, used, and free space.
