I just went to my local tmo store to check out the 8900, unfortunately they sold out, but i did mess with the dummy model, and I have to say this phone fits perfect in your hand, a lot smaller then I thought, I have never had a blackberry, but I think i am convinced it is the way to go, I have the G1, which is great, but i did a size comparison, 8900 is a hell of a lot smaller, beautiful phone, I am envious of whoever got it.

It's about the size of my Dash, but the 8900's screen is a LOT nicer. (My brother is a T-Mobile sales rep and has one, the lucky duck...)

Well I've had my 8900 for a few days now and I love it. Everything I missed when I briefly had a G1 has been improved (from the 8320 curve) and can honestly call this the best phone I've had.

I'm not in a 3g area so lack of 3g wasn't a concern for me, the wifi and EDGE are just great for this internet addict. The screen is simply fantastic, coupled with the clarity on the 3.2mp camera and the faster processor and my videos, webpages and pictures come up faster and look amazing.

Battery life. Well, coming from the G1 this phone on a bad day has it beaten 10 times over but I've had a Blackberry before and know what to expect. I can play games, browse the internet, take videos and pictures, find out where I am (even when I know, gets a little boring between calls sometimes!) and still not make a huge dent in the battery. So far I've not got it to full maturity but can go 2 days easily without a full charge and I use my apps a LOT!!

Sound. Again, fantastic. Usually I don't talk a lot on my phone as I work in a call center for a cable company and last thing I want to do is talk on the phone a lot but I have been more so recently. Simply put, the call quality is crystal clear. Can't really add much more to that really. The sound for ringtones, movies and music is great too, having a standard headphone jack is a huge plus too, even though the headset it comes with is good I still prefer my old Sony ones for music.

I was a little skeptical about the new styling of OS 4.6 but it didn't take long for me to like it. The icons are easy to see and differentiate and it's interface is very smooth. The phone itself is lovely and light, compared even to 8320 you can notice the difference.

Overall this phone is awesome. If you need (or just want) a phone that can give you internet, email, games, videos, music (oh and calls I guess) then put this phone real high on your shortlist, if not at the top.
