I want to get an upgrade and I can't decide between the Dash and the Wing. Would you guys help point me in the right direction as far as which one is the best for internet, pictures and music?? I want to be able to check my yahoo email, take nice pictures and surf the internet from my home (I don't get net where I live) music is also a big deal, but only for less than 200 songs. I love the iphone...but I don't think it's a good idea right now. Thank you!!!

as far as email, pictures, music, and internet both the wing and the dash do all those tasks exactly the same way. the thing you must decide is if you want a touchscreen or non-touchscreen.

i use the dash myself and love it. i have an MDA the old version of the wing that i dont ever really use.. i dont really like touchscreens that much. there are to many times you need 2 hands to operate it. i like that i can do everything on my dash with one hand.
Here are the main differences between the Dash and Wing. The Wing comes standard with Mobile 6.0 and a touch screen. However, the Dash is upgradeable to Mobile 6.0 for free; it just doesn't come standard.
The Wing costs $299.99 after mail-in rebate with a 2 year service agreement. Without a contract, the Wing costs $499.99. The standard memory in the Wing is 128MB ROM, 64MB RAM, available memory 26.84 MB. It's expandable up to 4GB with a MicroSD card.
The Dash costs $199.99 after mail-in rebate with a 2 year service agreement. Without a contract, the Dash costs $349.99. The standard memory in the Wing is 128MB ROM, 64MB RAM, available memory 32 MB. If you don't bother upgrading to Windows Mobile 6.0, it's expandable up to 2GB with a MicroSD card. However, if you do upgrade to Mobile 6.0, it's expandable up to 4G with a MicroSD card.
I hope this helps!

I think that a glaring omission in this thread is Smartphone (Dash) vs Windows Mobile Pro (Wing). There is a much larger selection of apps available for WM Pro, or at least it seems like that to me, Im a Smartphone user and it seems like everything I want is for WM non-Smartphone. Not so much business related stuff, but things like emulators and media players.

they're different class WM phones, Dash is kinda basic while Wing is full-fledged pda phone with touchscreen
I don't know whether Wing supports microSD-HC
if so, go for it, you'll have opportunity to get more storage than un-expandable memory of iPhone
and don't forget this 5 alphabets: TCPMP

before i got my pearl, i had wanted an MDA. well, good thing they were already discontinued when i went to check them out at the local corporate store... they told me its replacement was coming out soon. i looked at the dash, tried it out at the store, and it ran really laggy so i decided i wanted none of that...
so then it came down to... get a berry or wait for the wing... well, i needed a phone asap since i just ended my contact with nextel, so i went with the pearl. i'm extremely glad i did not wait for the wing, because:
1) i wouldn't have gotten it for free like i did with the pearls
2) it's only 1MHz faster than the MDA... and the MDA, from what i've read, just had too many features for the poor processor to keep up..
3) i'm very happy with the robust OS on my phone.
