I was curious if anyone knew how the messaging system works, im really hoping that it groups together your txts into one single thread of a conversation, does anyone know if it does or not?
I really want the G1 but i dont really wanna pay for the data plan :(
Unless anyone thinks they're going to make it so you can have the G1 and just run it with Wi-Fi.... :)
Otherwise im gonna get the behold...either way i wanna get a new phone for x-mas

I do but this site has seen better says. I work at a bank so I don't have a lot of answers. I have never worked for T-Mobile or any other carrier. I'm just a consumer so my answers wil not be the best but I can answer some things.
To answer your question. I have the behold and it does not group text messages together. Kind of like on yahoo messanger or something right? Well no it doesn't. The format is just like the old samsung format so its not different than what you might be used to already if you have or ever had a samsung. Any other questions?
Oh and if your still thinking of getting the G1 or behold, I hope you don't have bid hands and love to text because I do and its a killer. I have actually called people because I didn not want to text them anynmore. It used to where texting was faster but those days have come and gone for me. Well at least till I get rid of this thing and downgrade.
The camera is the worst I've seen as of yet. It takes almost 4 seconds after you hit capture for it to actually take the picture. Then, it blurs it. I love samsung but I guess this phone is just not for me.

The above is correct. It does not group text messages. I have had no issues with the camera. Mine takes really good pictures. I turned on the stability feature when I take pictures so they aren't very blurry when I take them.
No threaded sms. I have large hands (I am 6'6'' tall 240lbs) and have no issues typing with the onscreen qwerty. The camera is above average in my opinion as well.

Above average? Did you mean above average to camera phones with a 1.3 mp camera? or maybe the 2.0? I have seen pictures with the motozine and the G1 and in no way are they as good as those.
Above average meaning most other cell phones. G1 camera sucks. I have one of those too. I also have a Pearl Flip which takes better pics than the G1.

I ended up gettin a G1, i love it...but yes the camera is lackluster compared to the rest of the features....nice software for it...but it just blurs all the pics...hopefully the software update helps with the blur and stability of the camera on the G1...
Have you tried the SnapPhoto app?
It uses the accelerometer to stabilize the image. Also has White Balance, Exposure, Timer, and various other features.

I have but I still don't think its all that good. I think it sounds impresive but it really isn't. I also like to stick with the D-SLR so that might play a role in my opinion. Nikons are awesome.
I never made claims that SnapPhoto made the camera a powerhouse or a DSLR replacement.

and I never said that you did. I just posted my opinion on the camera quality. I still think its bad compared to other camera phones out there with less megapixels.
