yahoo, sbcglobal, company, and mail2web.
yahoo is great cause i can login and send an email in about 15 seconds and it has a huge amount of space so all my spam just sits there. i dont check the inbox.
sbcglobal i dont use just keep it in case
company sucks
mail2web is awesome. free exchange email for my dash. email in realtime.

So what do you think is the best? I really wanted Gmail until I read something bad in the Wikipedia article.

I'm personally a fan of Gmail and Yahoo. Gmail is the best but I hate that there aren't any folders. I believe this will change soon...though.

Oh, and Yahoo Mail is cool but annoying cause it has banner ads...Gmail just has text ads!

I liked Gmail the best, until I read this...

Criticisms

Privacy

Google automatically scans e-mails to add context-sensitive advertisements to them. Privacy advocates raised concerns that the plan involved scanning their personal, assumed private, e-mails, and that this was a security problem.[22] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gmail#_note-21) Allowing e-mail content to be read, even by a computer, raises the risk that the expectation of privacy in e-mail will be reduced. Furthermore, e-mail that non-subscribers' choose to send to Gmail accounts is scanned by Gmail as well. These senders of e-mail did not agree to Gmail's terms of service or privacy policy. Google can change its privacy policy unilaterally, and Google is technically able to cross-reference cookies across its information-rich product line to make dossiers on individuals. However, here again, the practice is standard across all email systems—it is the only way spam mail checkers can function. When one's e-mail is checked to see if it is spam, it is being scanned by the same process.
What privacy advocates also consider problematic is the lack of disclosed data retention and correlation policies. It is possible for Google to combine information contained in a person's emails with information about their Internet searches. It is not known how long such information would be kept, and how it could be used. One of the concerns is that it could be of interest to law enforcement agencies. More than 30 privacy and civil liberties organizations have urged Google to suspend Gmail service until these issues are resolved.[23] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gmail#_note-22)
There has also been criticism regarding Gmail's privacy policy (http://mail.google.com/mail/help/privacy.html), for example the clause "Residual copies of deleted messages and accounts may take up to 60 days to be deleted from our active servers and may remain in our offline backup systems". Google continues to reply to this criticism by pointing out that Gmail is using mostly industry-wide practices. Google later stated that they will "make reasonable efforts to remove deleted information from our systems as quickly as is practical."[24] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gmail#_note-23)

I use Yahoo mail, but don't have the banner ads. At the time I signed up for my SBC dsl account, they merged my yahoo mail with my dsl service. Ever since, I don't have the banner ads. :)

I get very little spam in my Yahoo account, but my wife gets 50-100 spams per day. I'm sure it's all those porn sites she visits!:o (Kidding, of course!)

I use:
Comcast (main account)
Hotmail (3 accounts, generally for signing up for garbage)
Gmail (I last checked it 6 months ago)

I like Comcast's interface the best. In hotmail, you can't open each email in a seperate tab, which I like to do.

i love gmail, i can check it from the java app or operamini or pop3, yahoo is nice cause it never expires but their mobile yahoo mail sux cause its got a few bugs still, anyways heres the email accounts i have...

2 gmails, 1 yahoo, 1 operamail, 1 icqmail, 1 xena mail, 1 hotmail, 3 diff cellfone emaill/sms addys, 2 pop3 accounts, 2 uk web addys(o2), 1 philippines addy(yehey), 4 juno accounts, 2 netzero. but the 2 main i use are gmail and yahoo, but i prefer gmail over yahoo. gmail has more storage, i can use the firefox ext to send files to my gmail, ditto what everyone else said abut the ads. i think u can do more with gmail than u can with yahoo, like the pop3 access, the forwarding, change ur addy etc, where yahoo u cant. it just all depends on you because youre the one going to be using it.
