I posted this on another forum and got some really unexpected results that (at least to me) signals Sprint has a really BIG problem with their billing system. So I'm posting the same question here on Cellphone Signal to verify the results with a different polulace...

Q: Are You Receiving Duplicate Invoices?
================================================== =====

So my billing cycle ended a few days ago, and today I received 2 Sprint Sprint invoices. Both of them are exactly the same, for the exact same amounts, for the exact same account number, for the exact same telephone numbers, with only minor differences in the fine print in the margins. I called Sprint, and they verified that my account was billed the correct amount, even though I received 2 invoices.

My friend had this problem a month ago as well. He cancelled a few days after he signed up for SERO (Sprint sent him a used phone and he was not pleased at all). Sprint then sent him 2 invoices for the prorated month he had Sprint.

Anyone else been receiving 2 invoices lately? It's more of a minor annoyance and waste of paper than anything else (assuming you're actually billed the correct amount)... but I'm just curious. Is it because of the "new" system? :confused:

How hard is it for a big company to get things right...... I wish everything was back to ma and pa shops.

And to add onto the original topic, has anyone successfully got Sprint to stop sending duplicate invoices? If so, what did you do? :confused:

I'm sure you've tried calling them, does that not work? They still continue to send them?!

Mmmmmmmmmm... yeaaaaaah... apparently that doesn't work because Sprint isn't even aware of the problem, much less know how to stop it (at least the Customer Service and Account Services representatives I talked with). :confused: Sorta reminds me how different T-Mobile and Sprint are as companies... :rolleyes:

But at least I'm not being overbilled... yet! :p

:pray:

EDIT: As an update, based on the unscientific polls I started on various cell phone forums, in total it seems that roughly 2/3 of Sprint's customer base is experiencing the same duplicate invoicing problem (some beginning as far back as 2006). I guess it's "OK", since I'm not being overcharged or anything like that, but Sprint sure could save some money on paper, printing fees, and postage if they sent only 1 bill per customer. :rolleyes:

Wow, that is extremely wasteful and irresponsible. :(
