I think it's better to post it here than General forum
I see more and more ppls are trying to do something stupid to cheat T-Mobile to waive ETF, and jump ship to get iPhone
how lack of sense they are!!!!!
when I check the spec on phonescoop, it's WEAK!!!
the spec does not worth for the price, even my K790a is better, except storage and screen
WAKE UP!!!

How widespread a problem do you think it is? (I mean people trying to jump ship to get an iPhone?) Having seen the light regarding contracts (I avoid them like the plague now), I think it would be truly stupid to try to void a contract just to get a new handset....

WOW greenblood, you really sound angry here!
IMHO, people are going to do what they want in the end, no matter how utterly ridiculous it is. They'll be back once the hype is over with, and they come to realize that having the hottest phone without the coverage wasn't worth leaving over...... I can remember when the RAZR first came out with the same price tag as the iphone, $600.00...... Now a RAZR is free on a 2 year commitment at most retail stores....

that's what I said
geez, V3 was nothing but revamped V600/V620, but it was expensive in 2004
now you even can get cash back from some 3rd party dealers
oh well, nobody said the reception of iPhone
it's better has better reception than sonyericsson W300, and the sound must be better than sonyericsson and T-Mobile (AMR-FS), or it just bring at&t a bad name

The thing is that they are paying $200 for the ETF, then paying $600 for the Iphone on a 2 year contract. They are nuts.

The stupid I-phone doesn't even support MMS.

Lest you forget greenblood that the razor did VERY well upon launch at a similiar price structure. The iphone will be a success as the razor was regardless if the feature set is far outdone by other models far less in price. Its not economics my friend, its being in the "know."

maybe I'm getting old, and see the trend happens again and again
I'd put eyes on the future HSDPA rollout, and the home LAN will have major change then
setup FTP server (limited access)
ORB host
slingbox
LocationFree, if sonyericsson phone supports
and upgrade the internet to Verizon FIOS

WOW green... you sound like you need a vacation!;)

But IMO, you should try and not let people like that "get" to you. Regardless of how you (or anyone else) feels about it, there are ALWAYS going to be people doing things we don't agree about (sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for not-so-good reasons).

But I've learned long ago through customer service, sales, and marketing experiences, is that if you let other people control how you feel, then you are ALWAYS going to feel at least some stress, some frustration, some disappointment, etc. Why let others get to you like that (especially random posters on a forum)? Life is too short to feel like that 100% of the time. IMO, you should just accept the fact that not everyone is going to see eye-to-eye on every issue (including the iPhone), and that people are stubborn and unwilling to change if they "feel strongly/made up their mind" about something.

Some people will listen to your (and other people's) "warnings" about the iPhone, and that's GOOD! Other's won't, and will have to "learn their lesson" the hard way. Still others have done intensive research on the subject and concluded the iPhone and them are a suitable match, and to those people I wish them happiness in their well-thought out decision (seriously, not sarcastically). But regardless of whether other people heed your "warnings" or not, ultimately it's THEIR decision and THEY have to live with the consequences of THEIR decision... good or bad. It won't affect you directly (unless they come to you for help, in which case you can tell them "I told you so" and tell them to return it), so don't let it affect you indirectly either! Don't worry, be happy!!! :D:D:D

If you really want to hear all the reasons why you shouldn't buy an iPhone...watch this video: iPhone trashed by Robert Scoble and others @ ces in bloghaus (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aRK0_YZDt4)

If I had the money I would drop t-mobile in a heartbeat and get an iPhone. The iPhone would go so well with the Apple tattoo on my shoulder.
