Just got an email from Costco advertising:
PREPAID
Samsung t219 Prepaid Kit = $29.99 (after MIR)*
POSTPAID
Motorola RAZR V3 Cherry Blossom = FREE*
Motorola RAZR V3t = $19.99*
Motorola RIZR Z3 = $39.99*
Available with the GET MORE 1000 PLUS PROMOTIONAL PLAN (http://t-mobilesignal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=127) (1000 Min + Unlimited N&W = $39.99/mo), MyFaves 1000 Minute FamilyTime Plan, and all other T-Mobile plans.
COSTCO MEMBERS ALSO GET
$35 Activation Credit,
$15 Service Credit,
Bonus Accessory Kit (vehicle charger, hands-free earbud, case).
Not bad for a "well-known, reliable" 3rd-party dealer. (You MIGHT need to print out the Costco email to get the offer though, as it MAY or MAY NOT be a targeted offer via Costco's E-mail Newsletter. YMMV.) OFFER EXPIRES 6/30/07!
*Valid only at Costco through June 30, 2007. Offers not available on Costco.com. New 2-year activation agreement required to receive service activation credit and savings with handset purchase. Subject to credit approval. Taxes are charged on the warehouse price at the register. 30 days of continuous service required to qualify for Service Credit. Customer must remain on qualifying rate plan at time credit is processed, which may take up to three bill cycles. $200/line early cancellation fee & Regulatory Programs Fee (not a tax or government-mandated charge) of 86¢ per line/month apply. Taxes approx. 6-28% of your monthly bill. Samsung T219 Prepaid does not qualify for Activation Credit or Service Credit offers. All phone purchases require new activation or qualified upgrade service contract extension. T-Mobile not available in AK, VT, MT, NC, and SC. Additional restrictions apply. See Wireless Kiosk and T-Mobile brochures for restrictions and details. T-Mobile's Terms and Conditions (including mandatory arbitration) are viewable at www.T-Mobile.com. T-Mobile and the magenta color are registered trademarks of Deutsche Telekom AG. T-Mobile myFaves and the myFaves design are service marks of T-Mobile USA, Inc. Copyright © 2007 T-Mobile USA, Inc.
EDIT: T-Mobile often has Mail-In Phone Rebates on its handsets for new or upgrading customers. Amounts usually range between $30-$50 for these phones. If there are rebates available for the RIZR V3, RAZR V3t, and/or RAZR V3 (which I'm pretty sure there are), then you could MAKE MONEY!!! Go to T-Mobile's Rebate Website (http://www.tmobilerebates.com/) to search if your phone qualifies...
