I used to be with Verizon awhile ago but I decided to switch to a T-Mobile pre-paid plan because I was tired of dealing with Verizon's crap.
I wanted to know if I purchase one of the pre-activated prepaid SIM cards on eBay, is there a something I am missing? I've spoken with T-mobile CS and they told me that I can get a SIM which has been activated in NY and switch it to a Florida number. Has anyone done this before?
Thanks a million!!!

Sounds about right. All you will have to do is call up T-mobile Customer Service and ask them to change your number....you can even say you moved, and they will switch it right up for you (at least from the experiences I have had with changing pre-paid numbers)
Good luck!

I think you would do well to fix your PIN first.
Put sim card in phone and fire it up. Dial *TOGO and there change your PIN.
Probably best to hang up then and call back - select option 3 to talk to CS.
Make your request to move from NY to Fla.
It is about as easy as it can get. No hassle and no new sim card. Cannot remember if you have to power cycle your phone.

With the prepaid SIM cards that I bought off of eBay, I didn't have to power cycle my phone after doing a number change. Once I received the free text message welcoming me to my new TMobile To Go service with my new number on it, I was able to make and receive calls.
