So, what do you guys think? Looks to me that HTC is going to save some money by using the same guts from the HTC3470, and just put a new set of clothes on the Shadow 2. I, for one, would love to see Tmobile get this phone. I know, the 3470 doesn't have 3g, but how hard would it be to leave off gps and swap in 3g and wifi to make it a hospot @home phone?

Speculations welcome :D

Yeah, figured I would throw in the other phone and dream that we would finally get a decent touch screen phone. Next time I will put in like post:)

Well this is only a birds-eye-view...and I have been told that the phone will be much slimmer, so what if it was touch screen?? Ah we can only wish

If it is based off of the P3470 then it's going to be pretty low end really (as far as smartphones go). So I wouldn't wish or hope for too much in the way of features.

Though I suppose that the feature list can be amended.

Found over at Allshadow.com Here is a list of improvements we know the Shadow II will have, some speculation, some that would make sense, and some wants… Feel free to add in the comments and we’ll update. More than likely the hardware has already been developed. Cross your fingers and hope the Software Devs for the Shadow will read this and throw some last minute improvements in.

Confirmed Improvements:

UMA
Will work on T-Mobile’s new high speed network (when it goes live)
Windows 6.1
Neo Interface as well
Most Likely Unconfirmed Improvements:

Will work with T-Mobile’s HotSpot@Home
You will get to type Don’t instead of Font
Faster Processor
More Memory
Logical Improvements (things that would make sense)

integrated GPS
Higher MP camera
Recessed Camera lens (so it doesn’t get scratched)
Recessed Send/End buttons (get rid of accidental calling)
Will already come with HTC Streaming Application, HTC Action Screen, etc.
Themeable Neo Ease (will be easier to switch between different Neo themes)
Scroll Wheel will have a custom sensitivity setting
Wants

Options for Neo Homescreen (Add a user pane, switch App X with App Y without hacking registry)
Complete customisation for Shortcut Key, Volume Keys, Camera Key, Home Key, Back Key (add any app, use ‘Browse’ to assign)
Built in links to AllShadow.com!
New Network Confirmation

Yes, they are already testing it
It will roll out first in Major cities based upon population density per square mile.
New Network Speculation

New Networks are very expensive to roll out, however T-Mobile has had a lot of time to set their equipment up. It will be a very large zero day roll out

what month do you think this phone will be released?

I was saying between July, and August, they said before "Back to School Season", so that would be ideal, and given that 3G's release in Major cities would be around June, and the 1st T-Mobile Shadow was released around October, I would definitely say July, August, and September at the latest.

I know that from above it says that it's "confirmed" to be compatible with the high speed network, but I can't say that I would hold my breath watching for the final specs to agree with that one.

It would be cool if it did, though.

well, from the picture we can say it is the same structure, same idea and probably almost the same, i am sure it wont be touch screen, i dont, the platform looks the same like the shadow (original) so, it does not have the same platform of the touch but, it just the same shadow, with touch sensitive buttons and probably a better camera.
thinner and black

I'll still hold out. Nothin really in T-Mobile's lineup really has caught my eye, anything I get between now, and then will be a cheap temporary phone. I was gonna get a T-Mobile Shadow I, anyway a couple months ago, so this would be great.
