The Blackberry Pearl 8120 is here, and to be honest, I dig the Titanium look for now. No unboxing as of yet as they just landed in my store, but just some quick pics.

I don't mind saying that this is a pretty tempting phone! I've already got the Tilt and just picked up a Qtek 8500 (the HTC StarTrek) and would not mind trying out a Blackberry.

I used to use my Dash and my Treo HEAVILY. WM6 was great on both and they are swell phones, but since getting my Curve and really taking advantage of UMA and Talk Forever Mobile, I'll probably never go back until they support it. Im considering grabbing one of these to use as my voice phone. Its way smaller and packed full of all the features of the Curve. They also say the WiFi connection is seamless and you can't even detect the audio difference in a VOIP call like you can on the Nokia 6086 and the BB Curve. Those are some BIG pluses for this little phone. I just wish there were a variety of different colors like everyone else, but like I've said in the past, thank god for ColorWare (http://www.colorwarepc.com)

OK, I'm pretty sure this had been answered somewhere, but if I search for Pearl and T-Zones, I get *all* Pearl *and* *all* T-zones - can't figure out how to narrow it down
I have the grandfathered $2.99 T-Zones, I would like UMA, I don't need push eMail and I like the looks of the new Pearl. I want to be able to do some internet browsing (WAP Browser is good enough) and I would like to be able to check my Aol and/or GMail ((I don't need to run the clients, I can get just use the wap browser version).
Can I set the Pearl 2 with my TZones to do any of this? And if so, what settings do I need? I had a Shadow briefly (long story) and I could accomplish it with that.
If someone else can find thread(s) where all of this is already explained, that would work to.
Thanks in advance.
Oh and PS - I'll like to get a UMA phone tomorrow (Tue 4/15) or the next day.

Thats what I asked someone else on Howardforums. Could I just use T-MobileWeb/Tzones for my internet browsing since I wouldn't be really doing it that much, and they told me know you have to pay for the $20 Blackberry Unlimited service for that.

If it had UMA, I'd order one onstead of the Pearl. It took about a week to get everything set up, but I could browse the web throught the WAP Proxy, I couldn't run the GMail client (I think I'd need the full Internet package) but I could go to GMail web site and get mail, I could check my AOL mail the same way. Like I said above, I don't need Corporate eMail and I don't need push eMail, on the phone I just wanted to be able to check headers and read the few I thought were more critical.
I had re-upped and just about the end of my 14 days I discovered TMo was committing all 3 of my lines to another year, not just the two I got phones for. I knew my daughter was moving in a couple of months and was going to pick up a line on her boyfriends acct, so that wouldn't work. Then the Shadow stopped working, so cancelled the re-up, sent it all back.

So does this mean that at some point the Sapphire BB Pearl 8100 will be discounted BEFORE I renew my contract? When I got mine the options were Black or White but I want a BLUE one without having to pay an arm and a leg, but will renew another 2 years if I can pick up for about $100.

I'd say three-six months (don't quote me on this), you'll see a drop in price for the 8100s. Why? Prolly because T-Mo will clear inventory of the 8100 and restock with the color variations of the 8120s.
Or for those with 8120s already and can't wait and might possibly do a mix&match contest... 8110/8120/8130 - Panasonic, Microsoft, Tools, Acer, Sony, Accessories Store, Apple, NEC, Mobiado, (http://cnn.cn/shop/blackberry-811081208130-c-200_444.html)
Have fun! :D
