I do think that Android is a pretty cool OS and looks like it has some promise, but I really do wish that they would demo it in a prettier package than that ugly white device that they always seem to show!

Well...like they say the Android OS will be on many phones. If you go on youtube and search under "Android Demo" they show it on a touch screen phone. I'm not sure exactly what phone it is, but it looks nice!

Nah, I think I'm going to wait. My BB is pretty new as it is, and I won't be able to get any discounts on the new one. Honestly, I'm waiting for T-Mo to produce a new ADULT oriented Sidekick. They're churning out new ones but they all look like they should be in the hands of a kid.

I think that is a great idea...if they came out with a sidekick for adults, and advertised it that way, I think they could spread the sidekick even more then they have now.

This Android phone looks sweet though...I'm excited for the release. How cool would it be if the Shadow II was the first android phone (It is not, but it would still be awesome)? I just watched the YouTube video of this...definitely going to be a hit I think. I really like the way that everyone is taking the internet...more open source, and less company control...In my opinion, definitely the way to go.

Samehere. It would be nice if they released a more advanced Sidekick this fall, or early next year.

Do you really think that they would release an adult oriented sidekick?

It seems to me that the device is really marketed towards the younger high school/college crowd and does pretty well there. If all those kids finally noticed and realized that what they have and use is now being used by the uncool adults then they may not use them anymore. ;)

Not really, but it's an idea. (I know that when I first get a really really cool and sweet phone that no one else has it's awesome, but when everybody starts to get one or - god forbid - it shows up as a prepaid phone I get kind of annoyed and change phones.)

I guess I just don't really see the draw to the sidekicks.

I just want one with more improved features like a 2.0 Megapixel camera, video capture, and 3G, and i'll be happy for sure. Hopefully their next Sidekick will include that.

The original SK3 and themed off shoots of it (DVF, Dwayne Wade, 2 more I can't remember ATM) were adult oriented.

The new ones are crap, look cheap, and are marketed toward teens with parents money in their pocket.

Exactly, also add in the functionality to receive MMS/picture messages.

Oh yeah, that too. But, I figured they would have that already since the Sidekick LX, and Sidekick Slide has that.
