Curve is for you, except you want WM because Curve has TalkForever support, make calls over broadband indoors

The curve is more stable, and if reception is an issue in your house, you can use WiFi to increase your call quality. The Curve gets better reception as it is, but the calling over WiFi for better call quality is a benefit at no additional cost to you. The Curve is also more stylish, user friendly, and doesnt have anywhere near the amount of issues the Wing has. The Dash is just like the Wing, for the most part since its not touchscreen or Windows Mobile Professional, in a different form factor. Same performance issues though.
If you can live without a touchscreen, go for the Curve!

if you dont NEED windows mobile....don't get it. Most people I see with a windows mobile phone, never use it to it's full potential. If it's just for basic business purposes and/or personal use, go with the Curve. Curve has a 2mp camera on it, WITH a flash, and when the updates for the Blackberry OS comes out, it'll have video capture capability too. Plus, you can still get your e-mail, you will have full HTML browser, and it has threaded text messaging(sucks you can't do signatures on the curve tho :-( lol ). If it wasn't for the fact I NEED windows mobile...i'd have a curve. i DO however like the keyboard on the Dash a lot better. At times the keyboard on the curve can feel a bit confined(at least it did for me personally and i have fairly small hands)

I would also have to say get a Curve for all the following reasons everybody just listed; but, I thought it already had video capture; but, I guess not.

there may have possibly been an update since October, but when I was testing one out back in October it didn't have video capture yet. I know at some point they will, I just don't know if the update has already been applied or not.

well im in the same boat its time for my up grade and i deciding between the curve and dash but one of my main concern is the web browser ive heard the curve dose not have the best mobile browser but have read in forums you can use something call opera point something but the only mobile web i have used is the one on the sidekick so thats the only thing i can compare it too =/ and how often do the phones get up date's?? and so dose anybody know when the curve will have video recording capabilities ?? or is that on one of the other carriers like verizon or cingular's Curve that has video ?

Same here.
I originally wanted a T-Mobile Shadow, but have been putting off getting one for months now due to its supposed terrible battery life. The Dash seems to be a terrific alternative with its alleged great battery life. I would just like to know from anyone here who owns a Dash as to how much web page loading times go down (if they do) when on Wi-Fi. I plan to use Opera Mini as my main browser, so it would be nice if someone had a comparison of Opera Mini through EDGE and Wi-Fi. Also, does WM 6.0 help the Dash at all?

Not sure about WM6 on dash vs WM5....but WM6 vs WM6.1.....SEVERE improvement. The internet DOES run much better on Wi-Fi as opposed to standard edge. And if possible, you may consider trying out SkyFire. It runs as fast as opera, but supports full flash....so thas pretty freakin awesome.

dose the BB curve support SkyFire??
No. Only WM supports Skyfire at this point and it is in limited "invite only" beta.

The curve will have the capability to record videos within the next 6 months, after RIM is done tinkering with their latest software update. RIM will probably announce something at their Wireless Symposium this year, but as of yet its all speculation.

Again, Curve. Though I must say, the Shadow is probably the best WM phone in T-Mobile's lineup, again, unless you need the Wing for touchscreen/WM Pro features. And that's mostly just because the Shadow has more memory than the Wing or Dash to not have to use the Task Manager every 5 minutes...

for some odd reason, when switching from WM6 to 6.1 my dash jumped from 24mb of memor to 48mb of memory

Went with the Dash. I have to say, I haven't really run into any problems yet, other than initial boot-up having the phone slow down at a point.

i've used the dash/mda/sda and almost recently made the jump to a curve just to have something different and i really liked the looks. but i decided against it after i flashed to 6.1. 6.1 is a "minor" upgrade they say but ive noticed a significant difference. overclocked the phone and make skpe calls over edge for pennies.
