Hello all, just asking for recommendations on bluetooth headsets. I am currently using a motorola H700 which I've had for a while now but I always get static when I use it, though it's not a lot it can still bug me.

I'm looking for a bluetooth that has great call quality (no echo), long battery life, comfortable to wear (please keep in mind I wear glasses so it has to be able to work with glasses :)), and isn't too big and noticeable.

Any suggestions? I'm also using a RIZR Z3

The Samsung WEP-200 is supposed to be a really good headset. I know redwildebeast uses one. I'm thinking about getting it myself. Check it out: Samsung WEP-200 (http://www.samsung.com/au/products/mobilephones/mobilephones/wep200.asp)

I have a Nokia BH-900 that i got at a nokia event and i really like it. I like it better than my Jabra BT250v! The volume is way too low on my dash using the jabra one. The nokia one has to be at least twice as loud.

I took a look at that Samsung WEP-200 one and I really like it. I could get it on ebay for about $30, is that a decent price for it?

The Samsung WEP200 is what one of the Moderators on another forum that I post on recommended. He also warned me to be careful of counterfits on eBay, so I won't be purchasing one from there.
I had the Motorola H500 and really liked that one, so I might get the Motorola H800. I love the fact that it is blue.

I would definitely be careful about buying one on eBay. As MobilePrincess said, and as redwildebeast also told me, there are a lot of fakes on eBay. Sometimes they will work for maybe a week to a month and then quit working. If you are going to go the eBay route, make sure you buy from a reputable seller...someone who has been selling for a long time with a high amount of positive feedback. Also, avoid sellers that show they are from China and Hong Kong, as most of the items from them are fake. When I look for things on eBay, I always set the search results to only display items from the US.

yes the wep200 would be my suggestion. i can turn on my music player and listen to music with my phone at the back door of my store and walk out the front door 75 feet away and my music is still in my ear. it cuts off at around 80-85 feet. plus it is just so small and light. if you are looking on ebay be carefull of fakes. there are more fakes than real ones there. a few ways to tell are: 1. hologram sticker on the front say "Samsing"
2. there are 2 sealed stickers on the real ones. one on top and one on bottom. the fakes only have the top. 3. the charging case says"Samsung" on the real ones and "Bluetooth" on the fake. 4. the fakes come with 2 ear hooks. the real ones have none. if you must get them from ebay contact the seller and ask them these 4 things.

yeah its good as well. i like that it cames with car, home, and USB charger. it also has a 2 year warranty on it. and you can win a free one by entering the contest that is going on right now. we sell them at my store for $70 so not a bad deal if you get it free.

I just purchased the Samsung WEP200 from TMobile. I can't believe just how small this headset is!! It paired nicely with my LG 8300, and my V360, within seconds..... The sound quality on both ends is clear, although I haven't tested it in a noisy environment yet.... It feels so comfortable, that while I was shopping, I forgot that it was even in my ear.

Just got it in the mail today, it's a genuine one, and can't believe I got it before the weekend arrived :)

I love how small the thing is. And it paired with both my phones so easily! I love the design of the headset, now I can finally wear a bluetooth headset that won't interfere with my glasses lol. Volume is nice and loud enough to hear clearly without having to turn it up all the way, people can hear me nice and clear. The large earpiece fits perfectly. I like the case, it's a nice way to carry it around when not using it.

I love this headset! :)

I quickly became interested in buying the wep200, but 4 hours talk time? Hell, I wouldn't even use it for talking much, mostly for routing audio from my Dash...but still, it's messin' with my head.

How is the talk time on the H700? If I ever upgrade to a BT phone, I will want a headset. I've been following this thread in hopes of getting some ideas on what headset to get.

I just turn it off when I'm not actually using it, but when I am I just turn it on and put it in my ear and talk. It's a lot easier than having to put it on my ear since i wear glasses.

I liked the H700, but I got tired of hearing static. And I wanted something a bit smaller

I returned my WEP200 bluetooth headset. I couldn't hear my callers over all the wind noise while I was rollerblading.

By the way, for everyone that wanted a Motorola H500 Bluetooth Headset, they are on sale at Office Depot this week (7/8 - 7/14) for about the CHEAPEST PRICE I'VE SEEN FROM A RELIABLE RETAILER:

NICKEL Motorola H500 Bluetooth Headset = $59.99 - $30 Instant Savings = $29.99 (http://www.officedepot.com/ddSKU.do?level=SK&id=221384&Ntt=motorola%20h500&uniqueSearchFlag=true&An=text)

PINK Motorola H500 Bluetooth Headset = $39.99 (http://www.officedepot.com/ddSKU.do?level=SK&id=184917&Ntt=motorola%20h500&uniqueSearchFlag=true&An=text)

The NICKEL one is available both in-store and online, limit 1 NICKEL headset per online order. The PINK one is only available online, but is a "special delivery" item, which means it has a limited return policy (and may be shipped separately from other items). FREE online shipping for orders > $50. (So maybe if you ordered 1 NICKEL and 1 PINK you should get free shipping!) Combine with an Office Depot coupon (online or phone or B&M) or a competitor's coupon (B&M only; YMMV) for even more savings!

EDIT: Forgot to add that I've been using the H500 with my T-mo-branded RAZR V3 for a LONG TIME now, and IMO it's VERY GOOD (at least the genuine Motorola ones are... NOT the fakes you see all over ebay and less-reputable online and B&M stores). It's very easy to setup/pair, sorta awkward and loose at first (since this is an "over-the-ear" headset instead of "in-the-ear" bud earset) but once you get used to how it works then it's fine and feels pretty comfortable, has good volume and good access to controls, and has a REALLY LONG rechargable battery life (1 charge lasts me a whole week)! Overall, I probably wouldn't recommend it if it was sold at its MSRP $79.99 since you probably can get better ones at that price now, but for $30 (or less) it's a MUST BUY! :D

Well, I am late to the party, but I really like my Jabra BT500. Have used it for some time now and like the comfort, range and sound quality.

I wonder if there is a current shoot out comparison of Bluetooth headsets. My old MDA was horrible with any that I used, 3 feet and then static, or it was just as bad if the phone was in my pocket. I new have the wing, and it is a lot better on the range. I tossed the Jabra250 to the curb, and two that I has from MSI (the computer mainboard maker). Presently I use a Plantronics Explorer 320 as my everyday use headset and it has been better than any other that I have used to date, but still not the greatest. On the other hand, I also use a Bluetooth headset on my Helmet, it is a Scala Rider, and when I talk to the family they can't even tell I am on the road doing 40-75mph. I am thinking of upgrading to the next model up so I can get the stereo use. I'll put a little FM transmitter on my MP3 player and be good to go, and not limited to 4gb on my Wing (plus save battery on it) since my MP3 player has 30gb. cardo wireless (http://cardowireless.com/riderproducts.php)
