Hey everyone,

I just wanted to apologize for my absence. Things have been really tough and stressful since my girlfriend's father passed away in October. The holidays didn't help much either...especially working at Target. I finally have some good news, though. I can finally say goodbye to Target :). I finally found a new job that pays much better than Target, and is something I would definitely enjoy doing more. I will be working for 2WIRE doing tech support for them and AT&T's U-Verse. Some of you may know that 2WIRE makes some of the DSL modems that AT&T uses. That's the same people I will be working for. I have orientation this Friday at 2:00pm, and I start the training class on Monday. A friend of mine already works there and finished the training class last week. He was there when I went and took the test on the 28th of December, and showed me his check when he picked it up. He made more in one week than I was making at Target in 2 weeks, and he only had 1.25 hours of OT. I just got my schedule this morning. I will be working from 3:15pm - midnight with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off. That is definitely something I can deal with since it is a set schedule instead of having hours that vary all the time. As you can tell I'm very excited about this and can't wait to start :D.

EDIT: Wow, I just noticed that my referral count went up in my absence, lol.

Thanks, guys. Nwahs, that first check will be at the perfect time, lol. One of my bills comes out of my account on the 28th each month, and my first check will be on the 25th. From then on, it's weekly paychecks, which is one thing I really like. :D I'm going to Target to day to find someone to work for me tomorrow, and if nobody that is there at the time can do it, then I'll just tell the supervisors that something came up and I won't be able to come in tomorrow. I really don't feel like working an opening shift for my last shift, lol.

Wonderful! I get weekly paychecks as well and it's pretty nice. Have fun with tech support... any idea what the dress code is there? I'm guessing you won't have to wear a "uniform" [or at least a weird red Target shirt;)].

I've got business casual Mon - Thu and Casual Fri - Sun. Biz Casual pretty much means any shirt with a collar and no jeans or cargo pants.

We can wear jeans as long as they don't have holes in them(I'm good there), and shirts have to be collared shirts. I ordered a few polo shirts from walmart.com that will be here tomorrow. Only cost me $37 and change for 4 shirts with shipping and tax. I have a couple of other shirts that I can wear as well. My shirts for Target will be used when I need to work on my car now, lol.

Believe it or not, try taking a look at Sears too...I picked up a few polo shirts, decent quality for $10 a piece, and they had a much better fit for me than Walmart's stuff...although I can't seem to beat Walmart's $10 khaki's...

These were $7.50 a piece, though, and since I'm short on money right now, that was the best deal :)

Just when I was thinking, "You know, I really need some khaki's" I stumbled upon that post. :D

Welcome back. BTW- A.J.Wrights has name brand stuff dirt cheap! My hubby just started a management job for CVS ( dress shirt and tie job) and we made a killing in there. Timberline dress boots for $60. How do you beat that?:)

Glad to be of service...:D

I think the brand is "Puritan"...they really are seriously comfortable, and you don't feel so bad if you manage to tear them (i'm in security so that is a risk for me...)
