Hey guys, I just bought the RAZR V3m (silver), and I hate carrying phones in my pocket, and the leather case was too bulky for a phone as thin as the razr, so I opted for a holster from VZW. I love how secure it keeps my phone, but it's scratching the hell out of the top black area of my phone!
Anything I can do about this?
Thanks!

If you have any clear tape, place it on the part of the holster that comes in contact with area being scratched on your handset. I hope that helps, if not post again.

I did that -- but it still leaves streaks!

It's not unique to the V3M; I've got the 8600 and the holster definitely scratched the ever-loving **** out of my phone.
It seems to be the nature of the beast when it comes to the plastic holsters. My VX8000 also saw some scratching from the holster I had for it.

Do you continue to use it sqube? I want to, but I'm just afraid it's going to make the not-so-bad looking scratches look even worse

If the tape didn't correct the problem, them I'm not sure what will. I'm not too fond of using holsters myself, so I usually by the leather case instead. Try lining the interior of the holster with a thin soft material.

Yeah, I'm still using it. Quite frankly, the only reason I'm stil using it is because I haven't had a phone I cared about enough to be bothered by some scratches on the bottom.
I had a STARTAC, then the VX8000, then this VX8600. I might take better care of my next phone but, to be honest, I'm not that picky about it. I never resell my stuff, which probably has a lot to do with why I'm not particularly concerned.
If you put it in the holster very, very carefully, you might be able to avoid the scratches. But at that point, it's just ridiculous. I think 706VZWUser has the right idea; try to line the inside of the holster with something soft and not-scratchy; a little bit of felt, some scissor work, and Monster Glue could go a long way towards solving your problem.
Make sure the felt is thin enough that the phone is still secure in your holster, obviously.
