Connecting to ATT using Tmobile

Hello all, I am currently using a nokia 6133 with Tmobile. I am aware that Tmobile allows you to do a bit of roaming on the Cingular/ATT network. There is a room here at work where i spend about a good 3 hours a day for a few days , and I have no cellular coverage with Tmobile. I tried to manually search for networks and cingular pops up! When i click connect it says "No network access." Why am I unable to connect to cingular! Even on automatic my phone doesnt switch over to cingular when tmobile coverage is unavailable! Can some one please help me with this. All i want to use the alternate network is know who is calling me and then I can call them back on a land line, i just lke to get my messages and phone calls at least! Thanks!

T-Mobile allows roaming on the AT&T network only where they have a roaming agreement in place, and that's generally where there is no T-Mobile "native" coverage. They may not have such an agreement in the area where you work.
