Unbranded equipment and T-Zones downloads

Can anyone tell me if I buy an unbranded KRZR, will I be able to download games from T-zones? I'm thinking that since TMo carries the K1 it won't make a difference. Its just that when I had a V635 and all my SEs, they wouldn't let me download games because it was an unsupported device.

T-Mobile has a phone configuration tool for non-T-Mobile phones which allows T-Mobile to send settings to your phone. You'd have to call T-Mobile Customer Care at 1-800-937-8997 and they will do it for you for free.

However, I'm not sure if T-mobile will have games for you to download off of T-zones. I would call Customer Care and see.

With Motorolas, just use a p2k app to rename the phone to a similar,supported model and it will "trick" the system. I made my old L7 a V360 like this and it worked fine. You may need to upload the Java certs for games though, but thats easy enough too. It looks like Tzones is treating all phones equally now though, at least on the surface, my V3xx's Tzones interface is the same as my renamed to v300 V635, I havent tried downloading anything with it though.
