I have been to:

Canada 3x
Mexico
Costa Rica

I have been allover the US by train and car (EVERY part (including your home of MN) except for the Southeast and Northeast past Philly), but the only foreign country I've been to is Mexico, to Nogales and TJ just across the border from CA and AZ. I'd love to travel the world someday, especially to see where my ancestors and great grandparents came from-England, Wales, Germany and France. I want to do it by rail mostly, Europe, Russia, Canada, India and Australia are some of the train trips I really want to do!

NW, there is so much in this country to explore, and I'm still exploring! The train or car is the best way, you miss the real America by flying.

Nwahs,

I've been to a lot of them because of being in the Navy for 20 years, but I also love to travel, so I've been to many of them because of my love to travel.

Railroader,

I've been to about 45 of our 50 states, so I've seen a lot of our country too!

Dan

I have also been to many states (no idea how many, but not as many as Mustang649!), I've been traveling around the US going places (Victoria Island, Canada for example, or Yellowstone Park in Wyoming) since I was about 8 years old and I first left the country when I was 14 headed towards Chile in South America.

I still have not been to New York though and have not done as much as I would have liked in Chicago, nor have I seen the Niagra Falls, Mt Rushmore, and cool but useless things like the biggest ball of yarn in the world. I'm driving from Cali to Texas on Friday for a permanent move so perhaps there will be something cool to see on the drive there.

Sounds like everyones been traveling a lot...very cool. I definitely plan on seeing more of our country, and also other countries in the near future.

Here is another question: What is everyone's favorite place to go?

Here is another question: What is everyone's favorite place to go?

That's a loaded question.

I suppose that if I HAD to choose.... and I'll probably change my mind later.... I'd choose Gryon, Switzerland. There's a really cheap (USD equivalent $19/night) Swiss Alps retreat there, and it's nestled IN the Swiss Alps and the view is absolutely AMAZING... not to mention all the cool people that visit there and the amazingly warm atmosphere. Walk outside and you're in the Alps, need I say more?

That's a difficult question Nwahs. There are so many great places. I just got back from a week in Egypt and it was one of the best trips I've ever taken. Saw the temples, tombs, pyramids, Cairo Museum, traveled the Nile, etc. But I think my favorite, at least overseas, has to be any place in Italy along the Mediterranean coastline and especially Rome because it's a beautiful country, with lots of history and the food is wonderful! In the States, I think the most beautiful place I've been was the Grand Canyon.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 6.12) T-Mobile Dash)

USA (ranging from my birthstate of California to as far east as North Carolina & Georgia)

Australia (LOVED IT, my heart is still at the Sydney Airport.. lol If I can get enough cash, I wanna go again for my 30th birthday in 09..)

Arkansas =) (My dad kept asking the Mcdonalds drive thru for Milk and they constantly thought he was asking for Coca-Cola.. What do they give him? A Nascar cup of Coke, to go with his breakfast food.)

Well even though I've been there twice, I think I might do my first year of college in Israel...if I did that, I would get the chance to travel to the following countries for a week each:

France
Hungary
Poland
Czech Republic
Morocco
Ethiopia

As well as Israel for 9 months

I love traveling, what can I say :p

Anyone have any experiences in any of those places?

France. But France is a big country.

In my travels I've heard a lot of good things about Nice, France... and I spent more time in Paris [for a few straight days] than anywhere else on my Euro-trip though I didn't even scratch the surface. A lot of travelers I met also said many good things about Krakow, Poland and at least a couple enjoyed visiting random cities in the Czech Republic.

Yeah, traveling is awesome.

I've been to France, all along the southern coastline from Toulon to San Tropez and Monte Carlo and I just spent Thanksgiving in Prague, Czech Republic. Have no desire to go to Ethiopia and, actually, it's not real safe right now to go to either Ethiopia or Morocco, but I'd love to visit Hungary and Poland some day.
