Can I activate my sidekick lx in a no signal area?

Actually I have one bar but it stays on the activation screen. And then after a while it says your account or phone is not configured for gprs or whatever.

You need to be in a good signal strength area to do the initial setup since most of the software and settings for the sidekicks have to be downloaded first time out.
