The company reported a net decline of 60,000 total wireless subscribers in the third quarter. Overall subscriber results include growth from CDMA postpaid, Boost unlimited, wholesale and affiliate channels.

It seems like now that the population is near saturated, or totally saturated, the results are going to be going down, or even be in the negatives...but this still seems pretty big. I guess 60,000 isn't too much but still not good for Sprint as everyone is still gaining the customers in the hundreds of thousands.

sprint needs to find a way to hold on to its customers or they will have trouble staying in the market any longer

Hmmm well if they continue losing customers at the rate they are, they have a long time until they are completely out of the market. Granted they will either turn it around and start gaining more customers, or lose customer faster, I'm guessing a constant loss of customers wont happen. It seems like many Nextel users are leaving...so it should even out soon...but I guess we can wait for the Q4 results and see what those show.
