700 minutes for my 5 lines is not enough. I need to upgrade to either myfaves or a 900 min family plan. Is there a way to do this without contract extension?

Yes there is... upgrade to a non-promotional family plan to avoid a contract extension.

2 week old thread, but just stopping by...
I also have 5 lines and 700 minutes, which is usually enough. I called up and let them know I was running low, and they added 200 minutes to each line, good for three months. Nice gesture.

I have done the same thing before. They are very generous about the bonus minutes...and therefor keeping the customers happy. I'm sure there is a limit to how many times you request, but still, adding 200 per line is impressive. They did that once for me...with both minutes and bonus text messages.

I've been out of the loop for a while, but I believe you still can convert your FamilyTime account to a Family MyFaves account with NO contract extension (or maybe that's just for Individual Plans). Just call up CS and ask about it.

Haha even if it has been a while, your still right. Unless you get a promotional plan, your contract will not be extended. Just make sure, when you are doing it, you state at least a few times that you do not want your contract extended.

Absolutely! But afterwards, I'd call back 2 days later, a week later, a month later, etc.
I've been told my contract wasn't being extended, then I called back 2 months later for a refresher on my soon to expire contract, and they said 10 months. Nooooooooo. (They fixed it though).
