Dash tether ?

I have a customer that tethers his Dahs to a win xp laptop for e-mails. he likes to have them on his lapop and not only on his dash. However, he also enjoys responding to e-mails using the laptop. But when he is connected to the dash, he is only able to download e-mails and not send them. What would be the first thing I should look? Any ideas?

Please help! I suggested that he can bring the laptop here so I can see what the problem is, but he insisted that I can proabaly find the answer on the internet...If I can do it, why can't he. ANYWAY...if you can help I would greatly apprreciate it!

What you would need to do is go into the my tmobile website, communications tools, e-mail, setup e-mail, and then go to the link that says i wanna continue using the windows mobile 5 server. Then, it will take you to the my email server setup and you can register and you can use t-mobile's outgoing server to send e-mails.
