My parents (early 80's) are thinking of getting a couple of cell phones. The 1000 minutes no nt/wknd no m2m no faves would be perfect for them!
It would also fit nicely for those looking at the unlimited H@H packages.
I honestly couldn't tell you...

I've seen the promo available twice in the last year, with the last time being in July. Since they keep bringing back the 1500 individual plan from time to time, I wouldn't be surprised if they do bring back the 1000/$49 family plan again.

Besides any promotion, I remember when T-Mobile had a family plan for $49.99 and you received 500 Whenever Minutes to share between two phone lines, plus unlimited nights, weekends, and mobile-to-mobile calling. Up to three additional lines were still the same at $9.99 each.
I had this plan before but switched to the $59.99 family plan for 700 Whenever Minutes back when I had it. I wish they could bring it back again though as I would downgrade to that plan again because the two lines on my account don't use as much as 700 Whenever Minutes (Thanks to my entire family having T-Mobile and for unlimited weekend/night minutes). Would save me an extra $10 bucks a month.
