does anybody have this phone running on TMO? I had it before but noticed it didn't get mms messages only got a link to tmobile. I hope to get this phone. I am debating to keep the cingular firmware on it or flash it to SE firmware. I just wanted to see if anybody has the w810 on TMO working mms and all.
Yes, it works on T-Mobile however you must make sure it is unlocked. T-Mobile Tier 3 department can send out the settings to your phone.

I have the W710i running on T-mobile.
I would say go with the SE software opposed to the AT&T software...SE's is much better and less restricted. But overall SEs seem to be working great with T-mobile. It's too bad we're not getting any Sony Ericsson's on T-mobile in the next 7 months :-(

Settings can be sent to your phone for MMS by visiting the T-Mobile Wireless Data Configurator (http://tmobileuspublic.wdsglobal.com/). They have settings for a number of SE phones, not the w810i, but the settings for the w800i should work.
AFAIK, MMS works for every unlocked phone brought to T-Mobile... you just have to change the server on the phone to T-Mobile's server. In your case, from CinguATT to T-Mobile. Hopefully the T-Mobile Wireless Data Configurator (http://tmobileuspublic.wdsglobal.com/) can help you.
Let us know how it goes whenever you get the phone.

I don't think at&t locks down phone setting on W810
just go to SE support site, and get configurator, and make these default

The W810i is highly recommended. I got mine from Cingular about a year ago and it is still my all time favorite phone. I am constantly torn between using it on AT&T or on T-mobile. Pretty sure I set up and tested MMS on TMo, though I usually do that on AT&T because I take "media basic" just so I can enjoy the phone, and I have to work to put a good dent in the allowance.
Unlock it, of course. Then if it is a Cingular unit you need to go fix Jack Splat so he doesn't go spend money needlessly. There is a huge thread at Hofo about unbranded features using Cingular firmware. I first unbranded mine with Wotanserver before that info was available, and subsequently re-branded it. Jack Splat key becomes a very useful user menu.
