Ok, so I've known about this for a few weeks, but wanted to confirm all the details to let you all know.
On Black Friday weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun after Thanksgiving) T-Mobile will be giving away One Round Trip Ticket to most major cities in the US for any Individual Post Paid activation, and 2 Round Trip Tickets for a Family Post Paid activation. Here are the details:
3 Ways to Qualify -
New Customers - Sign up on a 2 year myFaves plan, 1st bill must be paid on time
Existing Customers (on non-myFaves plans) - Migrate to a new 2 year contract with a myFaves plan, account must be current
Existing Customers (on myFaves plans) - Renew your contract for 2 years, account must be current
Steps to get ticket -
Send enrollment form by 12/31/2007
Pay first bill on time (current customers should continue to pay their bill on time)
Ticket voucher will be received in the mail between Feb/March 2008
Flights are from 58 cities across the US to one of the following 10 major cities:
Boston, NYC, Washington DC, Chicago, Miami, Orlando, Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles and Las Vegas
NOT Bound by black out dates or seat restrictions.
**Keep in mind, T-mobile will be ensuring that the lines of service stay active, hence the reason why no tickets will be received until April '08**
And that's pretty much it! Have friends and family that want to sign up for T-Mobile, have them get ready for a free trip while they're at it! Oh, and I believe we are the first source to have this posted anywhere, so spread the word!!
If you have any questions, sound em off below!! Lata!!
DIGG this please!!

It's pretty wild that T-Mobile would do this on a nationwide level, but it certainly is awesome. Oh, I'll edit the first post, but existing customers can participate if they add a new line of service.

Too bad they're airline tickets, I hate flying ;) Now, give me a round trip on Amtrak to anywhere in the country, then I'll bite :)

OK, the free ticket is certainly out of the ordinary, but how about any new Plan and/or Service Promos? Anything good in the works?
Thanx!

At the moment, not in particular. But if something pops out, you'll find out, ;)

So what. If you add a line to an existing account or get a new person to get a line of service, T-Mobile is rumored to give you a free airline ticket to anywhere in 50 States? Is a 2 year contract a requirement?

Yes, a 2 year contract is a requirement. And the airline ticket isn't exactly everywhere, it's to most major cities, I haven't gotten a list of cities yet, but I know it's a big list. It's most places people wouldn't mind going, that's for sure.

Thanks. That 2 year contract might scare people away.

Unless they were planning on signing up with T-Mobile anyway, and 2 year contracts are an industry standard, so I don't think it will scare people away. Not that many anyways.

Let's see, I'm Joe Average and I need some phone service ...
Hm....
If I sign up with ATT, I need to commit to 2 years to get free phones for the family
If I sign up with Sprint, I need to commit to 2 years to get free phones for the family
If I sign up with T-Mobile, I need to commit to 2 years to get free phones for the family, AND I get two free airline tickets!
Nooo, I don't think it would scare too many people. :)

Not to mention you're paying less with T-Mobile than any of the other carriers you mentioned! :p

Very true! :)
Not only that, considering you getting free airline tickets, people may even pay ETF and end their contract early for the other carriers they are currently on.

My point is that, I wouldn't sign a 2 year contract. 1 yes, but not a 2 year. I could care less about the $50 price difference on a phone.

But the very fact that you are here tells us that you are not Joe Average, doesn't it!? And while you may not care about the $50 difference for your phone, what about the phones for your wife and little Joey, Sally and Billy? Are you really going to pop for unbranded Razr2's for them all? Or are you just going to do like most of the rest of us and save as much money as possible on their phones (so that we can take that saved money and spend it our *our* phones!!)

I'm with Railroader. If I was meant to fly, I'd have been born with wings.:D Now free train tickets, I'd take that in a heartbeat. They should really offer a choice.

Thanks, I agree! :) A lot of people would like a choice, trains go to many small towns airlines don't, and many don't want to fight with the mess, hassle and pain that is flying today (One reason Amtrak has had yet another record year this year) ;) I guess you could always Ebay the tickets, and buy what you wanted too....hey, that's not a bad idea!
