I really want to get a non-MyFaves phone, but would I still be able to use MyFaves on it?

I heard that you can. It sounds like you can get a non-MyFaves phone, and everything will work the same except you wont have the MyFaves interface on the phone. You can still change your numbers etc through T-zones and through MyT-mobile, but it just wont show up on the phone, which is no big deal because I find that annoying.

Yes you can. You may change your fave five from T-mobile.com
You can set up the 5 on a myfaves phone and then immediately switch the sim card to a non my faves phone. If you get a rep as cool as me I can go into the myfaves tool via streamline and add the myfaves contacts for you. I've been doing this for customers with sidekicks for quite some time.
This is not a difficult problem nor something you have to worry about. I have not heard of a single instance in which T-mobile has taken action against a customer who has been using a myfaves plan with a non-compliance device.

Yeah. If this ever happened, it would be online and we would hear about it quickly. You are good to go with MyFaves on a non-MyFaves phone.

though I don't have MyFaves, I have collected information for tutorial
1. login to my t-mobile, on the right-top "not your phone?"
pick ANY MyFaves phone, choose it
2. go to plans and services, change your plan to MyFaves plan (notice: contract extention is required)
3. you can setup myfaves number on either t-zones or my t-mobile
on your call log, "v" is myfaves call
the thread for how to setup/manage myfaves on generic GSM/UMTS phones (http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1175544)

Thanks for explaining this greenblood. I book marked this thread so I can explain to others how to set this up, when this question comes up again. I've seen this question being asked on other forums many times, but I only knew that it could be done, just not how.
