Stephen is one of many children... two of his older brothers and father died in a plane crash, and young Colbert crawled into a shell. He started reading a book a day, later graduated from Northwestern, joined Second City, and the rest is history.

If you didn't see him roast George W. Bush last year... you really missed something beautiful. Straight talk and w/o holding a punch hardly describes... what should be watched and enjoyed.

Educated and sharp, only the Woz has ever thrown him off his game... even though, I'm not sure anyone understood what the heck the Woz was doing.

This man is a TRUE patriot.

The U.S. is still very much a wondrous place that, hopefully, continues to be shared with all that dream of living in a better place.

Stephen Colbert for President? (http://www.indecision2008.com/blog.jhtml?c=ts&loc=tagCloud&searchType=tag&term=blog_tag_the_colbert_report)

Stephen Colbert just announced that he's officially considering whether he will announce that he's running for President of the United States The Daily Show. No joke! He said he might be trying for the ticket in his home state of South Carolina at the very least as both a Republican and a Democrat!

I don't think he was posting it as his own statements, as the bottom sentence has floated around with every article and blog post related to this.

Honestly, I think he would not make a bad President. I do think he is hilarious. I'm interested to see how this plays out.

Totally a joke...Don't you understand Mr.Colbert's humor No doubt... he is making a mockery of the process.

However, when he says he wants to win 1 delegate, I take him at his word. According to the NY Times, he consulted both parties several weeks ago... it'll be interesting to see where this leads.

And when I say he's a patriot... I don't mean I expect he'll ever become president. I'm just saying he's doing his part.... and he's helping me laugh off what is left of my gut. For that, cheers!

He will only be on the ballot in South Carolina (his home state). I would call the stunt funny, but it's a total rip of "Man of the Year".
