Caller ID

We have a Family plan with 5 lines. When we call someone from one of our phones, it shows my name on the caller id. If I call Customer Service, can they change it so that each phone number will show up with the person associated with that number?

I believe this is possible, but you would have to call up T-Mobiles customer service. If they tell you no, that it can't be done, ask to speak with a level 2 tech support rep. I just went through this myself on one of my To Go lines, and I ended up going through tech support to get it changed....

thats a good question but then the primary account holders name might have to be on the ID but call and find out for sure

I just got off the phone with Customer Service, and the gentleman that I spoke with updated my account with each person's name with their respective numbers. We'll have to see if it worked!

It should work. I put many of my company names on the lines they go with on my old corp account. Seemed to work. I could not check all of them.

I'm glad they were able to help you with this. Also if the Rep. who you spoke to didn't tell you, it could take up to 72 hrs. before you'll see any changes on your caller ID's. But it usually doesn't take this long.

I know it's been a while since this took place, but I was going through my posts and saw that I never confirmed that it did work. It did take 4 or 5 days though. It really makes it easier than trying to remember who has what phone number when you look at the caller ID!
