Nokia 6030 Ringtones: mp3 or wav?

A member recently asked me this:

"I was wondering if the Nokia 6030 supports mp3 ringtones or wav or anything. My girlfriend's mom has a Cingular 6030 and wants a certain song as a ringtone, but I don't know what formats is supports or if I can even make it for her phone."

I have a Nokia 6030 and now I'm interested in finding out the answer. Anyone know?

Well, phonescoop claims the 6030 only supports midi ringtones. Nokia.com doesn't have any info on ringers.

Alex, I have the Cingular 6030, and it does support mp3's. However, because this phone doesn't include a lot of internal memory space, saving the mp3's as Mono will help since the 6030 has only one (mono) loud speaker. These will both sound the same, and the mono version will save space on the phone.
