View Full Version : Ericsson shows off 3G Infrastructure at 2.6GHz

Ericsson has announced the launch of Infrastructure and device platforms for WCDMA/HSPA in the 2.6GHz frequency band. The company says that the move is triggered by strong market interest, and that the new licenses for the 2.6GHz frequency band are now becoming available in some countries.

To me it shows that SE has begun working on some 3G handsets, and hopefully some of them will eventually make their way to T-Mobiles network.

Engadgetmobile doesn't sound to convinced that SE will buy into the 1700MHz spectrum that T-Mobile will be utilizing for their 3G service anytime soon according to their article here.

I didn't really think they would be.I don't really think they're interested in T-Mo period at this point
