Well it looks like the price of Hotspot@home increased to $19.99 for single lines on the website. What is the price for families now?

I believe it went up to $29.99 for the family addon. I called yesterday and changed from the 9.99 promo to the 19.99 family promo. The rep said I did it just in time. I'm still not sure if I need it for the long term, but I didn't want to lose out on the promo price.
I haven't decided for sure if I want to cancel my landline as I have DSL

Do you have any preference on the H@H phones, mainly between the Samsung t409 and Nokia 6086?
I too added the family H@H last week and I called customer svc today to make sure that it was added. I'm waiting for my H@H phone, purchased on ebay.

At first I had two of the 6086, then I traded my wife's phone for the t409, and I ended up trading my 6086 for the t409. Both phones have their strong points, but the t409 has a better sounding earpiece, better battery life, better camera, slightly better display, and works better with bluetooth earpieces. The 6086 has a horrible camera, even for a VGA cam, but it has an outstanding FM radio, bluetooth file transfer capability, a media player (though the actual music player was removed), and is quad band.
While the t409 has fewer features than the 6086, it does (imho) outperform the 6086 with the features it does have.
Of course, these are my opinions... Neither phone is as nice as my Nokia 6133, but it may take a while before a phone of like caliber will be available for Hotspot @Home (unless you want the BlackBerry Curve).

FWIW I am still seeing ads for unlimited home usage over H@H for $9.95. The latest one was an ad on CNN.com just 15 minutes ago. If you click on it, it takes you to an advertisement for the Samsung and the Blackberry phones. Is it real? or did the ad server vendor just forget to update the list of advertisements?

No longer worth it.
I second that!

Thirded. For an extra $9.99, it was a no-brainer. But for $20 ($30 for families!), it's just not any cheaper than the alternatives.
Which is a shame, because the new H@H RIZR looks hot. If T-Mobile dropped the price of H@H back to $9.99, I would consider switching back.

I thought the next UMA phone was the Samsung Katalyst?

I never said the H@H RIZR was going to be the next H@H phone. ;)
Everything I've heard has indicated a Q1 2008 release. It's called the Z3w, but it's really closer to the Z6, since it has MOTOMAGX. It's silver, with green keypad lighting hotness. The Boy Genius has pictures of it; search for "Motorola Marco."

H@H is still a great deal for what kind of a service it is. Granted it was definitely an even better deal at its promo pricing. I guess now, what will happen, is only the people that really benefit are going to jump on it, whereas at the promo pricing, more people were willing to try it out. I bet once T-Mobile gets a nicer assortment of H@H phones, we may see another promotion, as the lineup really killed a lot of H@H sales. Don't quote me on that though, :p, lol
