But, I have an unlimited texting plan...it doesn't really do much for me I think..

Did it last time? There were conflicting reports. It sounded like pre-paid people lost the $ but then were credited? I'm not sure, do you know what happened with that last time?

I'm not sure what happened the last time, because I never knew that this was something that TMobile offered.

You'd better read the offer again. It's for domestic messaging only.

Ya thanks Telekom...I added that note so no one started texting internationally and got charged for it because of us.
Still no news on if it will work for ToGo customers as well?

Sorry, ToGo users, but it's for monthly plans. It's on the front page now at http://www.t-mobile.com.

Thanks for informing us of this Inuyasha. I would have had a stroke after checking my balance the next day, from all the extra texting I was planing on, due to the "free text day" offer. ;)

Actually, on "another forum", people are saying that:
PREPAID IS INCLUDED!
Some people tried texting today and DID NOT get hit with any charges (yet). They say that usually they get hit with texting charges right away, but NOT today! (This doesn't mean that it's FREE though, but it's a good sign that it MIGHT be!) Other posters said they called up T-mo CS and were told that PREPAID IS INCLUDED (just like Mother's Day, but it wasn't publicized in the T&C). You may want to CALL T-MO CS YOURSELF to confirm if this is true...

I used pre-paid today and can confirm that it is included. They froze all text message billing over 24 hours ago, including pre-paid. It is confirmed =)

They sure did. I sent at least 25 to 30 messages yesterday, and wasn't charged once. :D
IMHO, this is just another way in which TMobile shows that they value their customers. :)

I agree, I know when I clicked on the link to their site, it did only mention that postpaid texts would be free. Maybe they had so many prepaid users calling in that they decided to include them in on the promotional offer as well.

That is probably true. Or if dad sends a few text messages on father's day, and gets charged...that might get him mad at T-mobile...so I'm sure they just decided to do pre-paid too. Thats pretty nice though. I'm glad T-mobile did that...I sent over 300 messages...and my friends kept asking why I'm doing that because I don't have unlimited...and I just explain it...definitely makes T-mobile look good.

It would be nice, but unfortunately I don't see any of them doing something like this any time soon. I have Verizon as my primary line, and they have never done anything like this in all the years that I've had them..... TMobile definitely rocks!!!!

I agree. I think when T-mobile does stuff like this, it makes the customers feel like they are a cooperation that is actually "there" for them...and not just a huge giant that you pay every month. Know what I mean? I didn't do a great job of describing that, but it definitely makes T-mobile seem more down to earth I guess.
