It seems most of the other carriers are lining up their "iPhone killers." Sprint has the HTC Touch, which is perhaps the most similar to the iPhone. Verizon has their new Voyager, which combines the touchscreen of the iPhone with a QWERTY keypad. T-Mobile's big smartphone this holiday season is the Shadow, but it's not quite an iPhone fighter, as it doesn't seem to be touchscreen.

Long ago, I thought that maybe T-Mobile would import the then-new MING with EDGE, but the time for tha thas passed. Now, I think T-Mobile's best bet would be a US (3G?) version of the Samsung Ultra Smart F700. I think a touchscreen and a slide-out QWERTY is a powerful combination - you have a big beautiful screen for when you're just scrolling through contacts and the like, but you also have a real keyboard (and all the tactile joy it provides) for when you want to, you know, work.

I don't think so. The Juno / Shadow is nothing compared to Kaiser.

You don't think what? That T-Mobile is going to give the Shadow a big marketing push? Just because the Kaiser is more powerful doesn't mean that T-Mobile will advertise it more. The Shadow is more of a mass-market device, which is why T-Mobile is giving it more attention (special packaging, multiple colors, etc.).

if Shadow has 3G and touchFLO, I'll be sold (tried Touch, it's pretty like pda)
if not, sorry

The most recant info shows mid November though...I'm not sure if T-mobile wants to do a big duel-launch with the Razr and the Shadow...or they want to space it out so when the excitement for the Razr2 goes down, they can bring the attention back to them with the Shadow.
