Welcome to the Wong v. T-Mobile USA, Inc. (T-Mobile) Settlement Website.
Summary
Some T-Mobile customers subscribe to a data services plan (a “Flat-Rate Data Plan”) that, for a fixed monthly fee, allows them to browse the Internet, receive e-mail, and/or access the Mobile Web from their wireless devices. This Lawsuit alleges that, on certain occasions, some of those customers were charged on a per-use basis (an “Incremental Charge”) for data services that should have been included in the Flat-Rate Data Plans for which they paid a monthly fee. These Incremental Charges, which were billed between April 2003 and June 2006, total millions of dollars, approximately two-thirds of which have already been credited to members of the Settlement Class by T-Mobile in the course of its business. The $2,199,461 of remaining Incremental Charges will be distributed to Settlement Class members according to the Settlement, as described in the Settlement Agreement and in the Notice mailed to members of the Settlement Class (both available on this website).
Settlement Class Members
The Settlement Class consists of all T-Mobile customers and former customers who (a) were subscribers to a Flat-Rate Data Plan; (b) paid an Incremental Charge; and (c) have not received, prior to August 10, 2007, a credit or refund of the full amount of the Incremental Charge that has been verified by a review of T-Mobile’s records. The Settlement Class does not include employees, officers, directors, agents, and legal representatives of T-Mobile and its affiliated entities, government agencies, or persons who file a timely request for exclusion.

I got one, and I am getting credit. Its basically about this:
I think this was some type of lawsuit about T-Mobile claiming that you get unlimited internet on your mobile phone for $5.99, but then saying no, you need the $29.99 data plan at the time. Plus, this could also be a lawsuit of how they forced people to get the $29.99 data which caused people to have to pay for Hotspot service even though they didn't need it or want it. So, that could be a reason why T-Mobile dropped the data plan down. This is also a way for them so settle since the letter says that they have to go back to court before the end of the year.
EDIT: Yep, its about the $5.99 T-Mobile Web plan. Look on the bottom of page 2 and keep reading.

24. What Happens if the Settlement is Not Approved by the Court?
If the Court does not approve the settlement, no settlement benefits will be provided and the lawsuit will continue.
NOTE REGARDING THE FINALITY OF THE SETTLEMENT:
The Proposed Class Action Settlement requires Court approval and is not yet Final. The bill credits, checks, charitable contributions, attorneys’ fees and incentive award provided for in the Settlement will be distributed only if the Court approves the Settlement and the Settlement becomes Final according to its terms.
Please check back for additional information about if and when the Settlement will become Final.
