What exactly can you do with these codes?

Can you call CC and get an expired promotion if you have the SOC code?

Nope. You may get an expired promotion if you plead and beg retentions, but it won't be because you have the SOC code.

So if I have a list of a couple old grandfathered add-ons and their SOC codes, that will do nothing? Thanks for the quick answer.

I think the only good thing SOC codes are for is if customercare can't locate the plan you are talking about. But if they locate it and it's super-expired (e.g. buddytime, 2.99 tzones, etc..), then it's pretty much next to impossible, even for retentions.
