Ok. Like a few months ago... I had Pay as You GO. My Nokia 6133 broke. (I would press the MENU button, and it would restart.) I called customer care, they got all the info they needed from me, and they told me to send it to LaGrange, Georgia. So I sent it, waited a Month, and I got a New One. Then they called and told me the warranty expired, and they would charge me $50.00 on my bill...
...the question is... I switced to FlexPay.... I never had bills on my Pay as you go... I got a Diffrent # with FlexPay...
How will they charge those 50.00 Dollars from the old nokia I sent in?
Will it affect my FlexPay since I'm using the new nokia?
They have the Model # and EMI thing.... will they ever contact me?
Thanks in advance, Omar

Did you get a new SIM card when you switched to Flax Pay, or did they just convert your PAYG service over to Flex Pay?
As far as I know, they can't charge your Flex Pay account if you signed up as a new line of service..... If they have your mailing address, they could mail you out a bill for the $50.

Get back to class, Phoenix Boy! LOL! If they're going to charge you $50, they would have to mail you a bill to the old billing information on file, if in fact your new phone is a completely new set-up. Like Ellen said... But I just had to chime in here and tell you to get back to your schoolwork... hahahahahahaha.... ;)

I think ADMIN needs to consider this as an entry into his "most creative way to promote T-MobileSignal forum Contest!" FOR SURE! :D

That's another good way to advertise T-MobileSignal.

what would have been cool is if someone took a pic of them trying to take ur fone away, and ur resisting while typing on the forum, and have a caption on it saying something like "Honestly its not porn,... im on tmosig really,... I am" lol that would be funny ya know. that sux they took ur fone, i didnt think they could do that but if it was security and not a teacher, then that makes sense, but i wouldnt have let them take mine ya know, you could have had an emergency ya know, and no way to call for help...

I'm surprised to read that he received a new phone number. When I converted from prepay (T-Mobile To Go) to postpay, I was able to keep the same phone number.

I found this to be a little odd too, but I just thought that it had something to do with the other line being on a family plan.

AFIK, unless they recently changed it recently, if you're going from prepaid to FlexPay they wont let you keep your number, at least not yet. I had to get all 3 of mine changed. I believe that the OP said he went FlexPay.

I changed from prepaid to postpay in January 2005. They allowed me to keep the same number. Maybe they changed that policy, but I don't see why.

No Edward they didn't change this policy. A customer can still go from prepaid to postpaid and keep their number.
I think the problem with going from a To Go account to a FlexPay account is that although these two services are two different things, they are both still considered to be prepaid. And with FlexPay being so new, it may take T-Mobile awhile to work it out in their system in order to allow a To Go customer to switch to FlexPay account while keeping the same number.
